With or Without You

With or Without You We are a Banbury based support group for the partners of people with autism or ADHD. I am a Level 4 Integrative Counselling Student.

I became interested in those impacted by autism through my work and came to realise that there is very little local support for partners of autistic people. So a small group of us decided to set up a support group to fill that gap. Our aim is to connect individuals to provide information, support and hope. We meet on the last Saturday of the month. Meeting Format:
1 hour (Presentation & discussion)
30 minutes (Coffee & a chat)
Optional 30 minutes (Christian Bible talk & prayer)

It has been a real privilege to have met you all this year. You have shown us your strength and courage, even though you have not felt either strong or courageous. Thanks for sharing your journeys, and for the support you have given one another. We look forward to picking up again in the New Year (lots of love from the team at WOWU).

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1BHAREf9zmU In today's session we spoke about the Road to Brighton (the way our brain automatically does certain actions (habits)). Here's the video - it's intended to explain p**n addiction, but ignore the headline, it still works if you view it as 'the way habits are formed'. The video also explains 'neuro-plasticity', that is how we re-wire our brains to learn new, healthier habits.
