Exciting changes have been happening at Drays over the last couple of weeks!! 👀

Firstly, those who have been in or telephoned, you would have had the chance to meet our new staff member Jenni.
With years of optical experience, she is a brilliant asset to the team 👌

Rachel is now back with us full-time 🥳

Our opening hours are changing!!
We are now open 9am - 5.30pm, Monday - Saturday 🤩

LEE & CLAIRE DRAY ANNOUNCEMENT
After over 30 years in Optics for myself and approaching 25 years for Claire, we are today announcing that we are retiring from Dray’s Eyecare and looking forward to spending more time with our family and pursuing new adventures. We have both thoroughly enjoyed our 20 years in Banbury on Chatsworth Drive after starting the business from scratch and nurturing it to become the well-respected practice that it is today. Obviously, we have very mixed emotions about this hard decision, but feel now is the right time to pass the baton to younger, more ambitious owners, to enable the practice to flourish further and reach its potential.

We took a long time to find the right people to take over the reins, and we believe the new owners are the right fit for Dray’s Eyecare, our community and our loyal patients. The new owners are also an independent family team, who bring a huge amount of experience and energy into Dray’s Eyecare and hold the same beliefs as myself and Claire in how customers, clients and patients should be cared for.

We are delighted that Rachel, Nina, Lesley and Warren will remain at Dray’s Eyecare, so a familiar and friendly face is always assured. I will also remain at Dray’s Eyecare for a period, but in a more reserved role, to ensure the smooth transition to the new owners.

In addition to continuing the Dray’s Eyecare legacy, the new owners are also keen to introduce new services for you to utilise, the first of which will be an audiology clinic, so not only can Dray’s look after your sight, it will shortly be in a position to look after your hearing too.

Myself and Claire would like to thank each and every one of you for you continued support and friendship over the last twenty years, it truly has meant a great deal to us both. It has been our absolute pleasure to have served you over all these years and we wish you the very best for the future.

As a family-run, independent team ourselves, we share their passion for delivering honest, personal and expert care. We’re committed to maintaining the friendly, patient-focused ethos you’ve come to know and trust.

You’ll continue to see the same fantastic team - Rachel, Nina, Lesley and Warren - and Lee will remain involved for a while to help ensure a smooth and familiar handover.

Looking ahead, we’re excited to introduce a few new services, including hearing care and OCT scans as part of ongoing clinical upgrades, as well as fresh new eyewear brands to expand your choice.

We can’t wait to meet you and continue the legacy of care, professionalism and independence that Dray’s Eyecare represents.
