I regularly see the word ‘cheap’ or similar on local FB groups when people are asking for beauty, aesthetic or hair recommendations.
Honestly, I often see people advertise micro needling for a few pounds less than it actually costs me to perform! What are they using?!
My needling pens are bought from reputable, professional companies and are safe with anti back flow, which means no fluids are drawn into the instrument, eliminating the risk of cross contamination. This function, amongst others, are reflected in how much I paid for them. Are cheap pens guaranteed that non negotiable safety measure?
My serums are safe for injectable purposes with clinical data; it’s imperative not any old product is needled into the skin to avoid infection, damage and even permanent scarring. These serums are my highest outlay for any single treatment I offer. Can you guarantee a cheap treatment uses a serum that hasn’t come from Amazon?
We all love a bargain. No one wants to feel exploited or ripped off. But please don’t always be temped by cheap. When it comes to my industry and you see a really low price, you should be suspicious. Ask your therapist what they’re using, about their training, their insurance, even the brands of products and equipment used.
Don’t put yourself at risk.

If a price seems too good to be true… it probably is.
Theres more to the price of a treatment than just the time it takes to do it.
Sometimes it’s hard to explain to clients WHY you have to charge a price for your treatments, when there’s so many people out there doing it for less right now.
It’s nothing you’re doing wrong. It’s simply because the industry isn’t regulated at the moment.
Yes, you heard right, there’s nobody keeping an eye on what’s happening here, everyone is left to their own devices.
People are making up their own rules, treatments and even qualifications.
People are using unregulated products, with unregulated ingredients and putting clients at risk every single day.
Clients probably don’t know this and just see the price.
These products are cheaper, there’s been no cost put into training & generally speaking, there’s no care or experience behind these type of service providers.
They don’t care about the clients they just care about making a quick buck.
Because if they truly wanted what was best for the client, they would have adequate training, use adequate products and their prices would reflect it.
Next time your client asks ‘Why are you more expensive than them?’
Show them this image.
Remember, focus on raising standards, not cutting prices - and stay true to your profession and the right clients will come. ❤️🙏🏻
