Would you love to be part of our superstar Clinic Assistant team?

Start the New Year with a fabulous opportunity to join our busy team and work alongside our expert Chiropractors, Massage Therapists and Orthotics Consultant, ensuring our patients get a 5* experience and WOW welcome every time they walk through our door.

This is a part-time role - initially approx 12 hours per week plus holiday cover and support at events. Our shifts include an early morning (7:30am start) and late finish (approx 8:30pm) and Saturday mornings on a 4-weekly rolling fixed rota. Our team meeting is every Tuesday 12:30pm - 2pm. Flexibility is key!

As an Employee Owned Trust, we're looking for someone excited to play a part in the future of the business and who values the importance of team.

STRETCH LIKE A CAT! 🐈

When a cat wakes up from a slumber, the first thing it does is stretch...and this is something that if we could copy as humans, would make a really positive difference to our spinal health.

A stretch in the morning gives our body a reboot, encouraging blood flow to reactivate those muscles, realigns tissues and relieves stiffness. It's the perfect mind/body connection we need after hours of rest - so why not be more cat in the mornings?!

EDDY'S WINTER TRAINING TIPS

We asked our Lead Massage Therapist Eddy for some of his winter training tips to help keep you moving when the temperature drops! Here's what he recommends - now all you need to do is get out there!:

1. Layering 🧣
Correct clothing is super important. Start with a synthetic base layer, then a moisture wicking layer and potentially a waterproof/windproof layer on top if required. Don’t overdo it though, remember you’ll warm up quickly when exercising - as a rough guide, dress for about 8-10 degrees warmer than it actually is outside. Bear in mind windy conditions can make it feel colder than it is.
2. Heads up! 🧤
We lose about 7-10% of our body heat through our heads. So a hat or even a buff can be important to keep that heat in. Gloves are also good for keeping hands and fingers warm.
3. Stretch before you run! 🤸
Warm ups are even more important in cold weather. Cold muscles are more prone to injury, so a proper warm up is crucial when exercising in the cold. Even 5 minutes spent warming up can make a big difference.
4. Struggling for motivation? 💪
Have a training plan in place or get yourself signed up to an event in the spring. Even better, do both! Print out your training plan and have it visible in the house to keep you accountable (I put mine on the fridge!)
5. Winter days = darker nights. 🔦
If training later in the day make sure to wear high visibility clothing while you’re out. It’s important to be visible, even if you’re not running on the road. A good headtorch is also essential for night time training.
6. Hydration, hydration, hydration 💧
We still sweat in the cold, even if we don’t feel it as much due to the colder drier air. It’s important to replace lost fluids and electrolytes after exercising. Want a quick easy way to do this? Take a quarter teaspoon of Celtic sea salt or Pink Himalayan rock salt and mix it with a glass of water until it dissolves. Add some diluting juice/squash and voila, your very own electrolyte drink.

We hope you've had a wonderful couple of days celebrating the festivities! Our clinic is back open today 8am - 12pm so if you are feeling in need of an appointment then we are here to help.

We'll be back open as normal Monday and Tuesday next week 8am - 8pm, and reduced hours 8am - 12pm on New Years Eve.
