The research team at Robert Gordon University's School of Health Sciences, in collaboration with Public Health Scotland, has recently begun a project looking into interventions and support for people while they are on a waiting list for hip or knee replacements in Scotland.
The project aims to find out what research has been done on this topic, what support is currently provided to people in Scotland, and then finally to bring people together (clinicians, researchers, and people who have had hip and knee replacements) to decide what support or services should be provided for people in the future.
They are looking for 3-4 people with experience of being on waiting lists for hip and knee replacements to join our project advisory group. The group has three meetings planned in April, July, and September this year that will take place online.
If you have had a hip or knee replacement and would be interested in joining the advisory group, the team would be happy to have a quick call to tell you a bit more about the project and what joining the advisory group would involve.
If you have not had a hip or knee replacement, please feel free to share this invitation with anyone else you feel this would apply to.
Please get in touch if you have any questions or would like to find out more information via email: SHSResearchAdmin@rgu.ac.uk
