Heather, Alistair and families would like to thank all relatives, friends and neighbours for the flowers, cards and messages received following the sad loss of Bill. Special thanks to Macduff Medical Practice, Banff Community Nurses, Banff care manager, Eildon carers for their care and support of Bill and also to Brenda and Allison for their support. Thank you to Robin Wiseman for his comforting service, all at A D Walker for the personal attention with the arrangements and to The Deveronside for the lovely tea. A final thank you to all who paid their last respects at the Rest Rooms and graveside and who generously donated the sum of £600 to Friends of Chalmers.

Julia's husband David and her sister Audrey would like to extend their sincere, heartfelt thanks for the tremendous support and expressions of sympathy for the sudden loss of Julia. Great comfort has come from the lovely messages in cards, letters, flowers and online from family, friends, neighbours, Julia's former pupils, students and many colleagues throughout her working life.

Our special thanks to Jim Givan for leading Julia's funeral service at Banffshire East Church of Scotland, Macduff. Your comforting words and thoughtful reflections captured her spirit perfectly. We are deeply grateful for the time and care you gave to make the service so personal and meaningful. Our sincere thanks to the staff of A D Walker Funeral Services for their care, compassion and great professionalism. Thank you to Michael Wiseman for expertly compiling the excellent slide show depicting highlights of Julia's life. Thank you also to the Banff Springs Hotel for the excellent service, providing lovely teas in a warm and welcoming setting to share our memories. Our sincere thanks also to Audrey Smart for the most beautiful floral arrangements, to Raymond Wilson for the lovely playing of the church organ and to Sandy Shearer for his expert piping at the Kirk and at Myrus.

Thank you to all who paid their last respects at the Kirk and Cemetery and who gave so generously to the collection, raising £1,000 for the Stroke Unit at Ninewells Hospital, Dundee. The staff of the Stroke Unit provided the most wonderful care and compassion in the 7 days that Julia spent there.

We have lost our true 'jewel' and will forever treasure the love, fun and support Julia relentlessly gave. The shine of her personality will always be with us.

Harold, Tricia, Esther and Katrina would like to thank all family, friends and neighbours for the many cards, messages and calls they received on the sad loss of Jean. We would like to thank Wakefield House for their dedicated and exceptional care of Jean during her time there and the support provided to Harold and family during this very difficult time. We would also like to express our heartfelt thanks to the Rev John Gow for his many visits to Jean and Harold both at home and in Wakefield. His wonderful service was a fitting tribute to Jean. To A D Walkers, especially Jane, we wish to extend our sincere gratitude for their professionalism, their kindness and support provided to the family at all times. Thank you to Annie’s Wee Catering Company for the beautiful teas provided which were highly commented on. To Blathanna-K for the beautiful floral tributes and Sandy Shearer the piper. Finally, thank you to all for the very generous donations to the Cinnamon Trust and Wakefield House Comfort Fund.

Peacefully at home, on Monday 3rd November, William (Bill) Rattray, aged 91 years. Much loved husband of the late Eleanor, dear dad and father in law to Heather and Michael and Alistair and Gina, devoted granda to Lewis, Jodie, Finlay and Amy, and a much loved brother, brother in law, uncle, great uncle and a good friend to all who knew him. Funeral service to be held in AD Walkers restrooms on Wednesday, November 12th at 10:30am, thereafter to Banff cemetery. All friends are respectfully invited. Family flowers only please but donations can be given in memory of Bill.

Unexpectedly but peacefully, with her family by her side, at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary on Sunday 2nd November 2025. Anne Booth Allan nee Christie, aged 80 years. Dearly devoted wife of the late Douglas, dearly loved mam of Yvonne, mother in law to Jim, cherished granny of Kim and Donna, great granny of Allana, Rhuary and Jessie. Sister of Dod, Gordon and the late Helen, Doug and Peem and a much loved aunt, cousin and friend to many. Funeral service to be held in A D Walkers Rest Room, Victoria Place, Banff on Thursday 13th November at 11am to which all friends are respectfully invited. No flowers please but donations may be given in lieu for Banff Castle Pipe Band.

Dearly loved wife of the late Henry, devoted mother of Carol and the late Steven, proud Granny to Cameron & Olivia, much loved sister to Moira, Gina and the late George, loyal companion to Ronnie, special mother-in-law to Michael & Alison and a kind auntie, cousin, sister-in-law and friend to many.
