Sophie joined our team recently as our new Diversional Therapist and will organise and design activities that include physical, cognitive, emotional, and social engagement.

She has hit the ground running and is getting to know all our residents and is in the midst of organising a great activity program on the lead up to Christmas 🎄☃️

Today is World Mental Health Day, a day recognised globally to raise awareness about mental health issues and promote the importance of emotional wellbeing in all aspects of life.

At Burnview Healthcare we recognise that mental health is just as important as physical health and we understand life can be challenging at times which is why we want to reach out to remind you that you’re not alone.

As a team we are always here to listen and support however we understand that not all our team feel comfortable talking openly about their mental health and for this reason we have emailed all our team to share details of our Employee Assistance Programme in partnership with Westfield Health.

The EAP offers confidential advice to all employees and their immediate family members and includes:

💜 24/7 access to licensed counsellors
💚 Support for stress, anxiety, depression, or grief
💜 Help with financial or legal concerns

We have a small break out area set up today for our team to relax have a cuppa and a treat and most importantly have a chat, as talking is so important 💜💚

Recently we had the privilege of celebrating Courtney being part of our team for an impressive 5️⃣ years 👏 🙌 👌

Courtney is a valuable member of our care team who provides compassionate care to our residents and she does this always with a smile on her face.

🌞🔆😎 Woohoo! What a WONDERFUL Garden Party turn out we had on Wenesday the 13th! Thank you to everyone who attended, participated and worked to make this such a huge success! Monika & the Kelly's, families, friends, DJ Trevor, Craft Artist Anne, Tattoo Artist Joanne Eldho, our barbequing chef, kitchen staff, care assistants, nurses and domestic staff. 💕💕💕

We achieved record-breaking raffle ticket sales and gave away tons of amazing prizes. Thank you to our Corportate raffle donors: Tesco, Maxol, Wine Mart, Gordon's Pharmacy, Clear Pharmacy and Boots Pharmacy. And our residents' families who came out in force to donate prizes as well!
