Final mock OSCE in Bangor, NI before I return to mobile practical (brought to you, anywhere in NI) and online NMC OSCE individual teaching support. What a lovely day! ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’š

Today, I facilitated an individual adult OSCE mock session for one of my current learners.

This mock OSCE day was offered as an optional extra and was chosen by this nurse, as it fitted in with their preferences and circumstances.

We were joined by another current learner acting as the patient which allowed different perspectives, as well as peer support.

This person-centred approach to OSCE preparation and mock exam day was discussed and agreed with both nurses beforehand.

It benefited both nurses for different reasons and reflected the power of peer support even for individual OSCE preparation, where possible.

๐•๐š๐ซ๐ข๐จ๐ฎ๐ฌ ๐จ๐ฉ๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐ฌ - I offer a range of packages to suit each individual, starting at ยฃ640 for online, interactive sessions and e-learning covering all Adult OSCE stations, theory and exam overview.

I will share free to access content which will help with OSCE prep, in addition to some general guidance on UK NMC OSCE/ToC, clinical education and re/adapting to UK nursing.

This is based on years of experience as a senior UK RN/nurse educator, former HCA and now 6 years of teaching and supporting nurses for OSCE pre, during and post-OSCE under a wide variety of formats. โฃ

The intention is to help nurses who otherwise, would not be able to access evidence-based, experienced, independent NMC OSCE teaching, support and guidance. โฃ

These free videos - alongside my current, flexible, one-to-one online and face-to-face/practical paid support programmes, are intended to support colleagues to make informed choices about their OSCE preparation plan.โฃ

There are now many alternatives to the short, intensive, large-group, "bootcamp", "crash course" style OSCE programmes which have become commonplace and ๐˜ด๐˜ฐ๐˜ฎ๐˜ฆ๐˜ต๐˜ช๐˜ฎ๐˜ฆ๐˜ด, (not always โ„น๏ธ) might not actively promote embedded learning, professional autonomy, support learners as individuals or allow much flexibility for nurses juggling a variety of commitments. โฃ
