Delighted to be in Ashfield Boys’ High School this week delivering my first ‘Navigating Change with Confidence’ workshop. Change can feel uncomfortable at any age, but your brain is wired to adapt — and learning this early helps build real resilience. We explored how the brain responds to change, why that wobbly feeling is completely normal, and practical coping strategies that help young people feel more steady and confident as they navigate new situations.

Thank you to Ashfield for having me, and for the warm welcome from staff as always. A brilliant start to this new workshop series.

A few mindful minutes with colouring can help your mind slow down, ease tension, and bring you back into the present moment. Focusing on the colours and patterns helps your breathing settle and gives your nervous system a little reset.

And that moment you look at your finished picture and think, “I made this”? That’s a lovely dopamine boost right there – a tiny mood lift you’ve created for yourself 💛✨

1st Place at Swan Challenge 2025 in beautiful Lake Bled, Slovenia — what a moment to treasure!

Ellie was already doing brilliantly on the ice and bringing home medals, but she reached out because she didn’t always feel she was skating the way she knew she could when it mattered most. She wanted to step out there with calm, confidence, and the freedom to really enjoy her performance.

Research shows that mindset can influence at least 20% of a performance — and this experience truly highlights that. We spent time together building her Performance Mindset, but the real shift happened because Ellie took those tools and genuinely used them. She showed up for herself and put the strategies into practice.

So proud of you, Ellie — for your commitment to this journey and what you achieved on the ice, not to mention you’re just a fabulous person in general 💖

I have been seeing Lisa’s daughters to help with emotional regulation, which can be hard for children who are learning how to deal with bigger feelings potentially for the first time in their life.

We’re on week 2 of 4 and I was delighted to get this feedback.

Sessions blend talking therapy, guided relaxation, and play-informed approaches creating a safe space where children can explore their emotions and build practical coping tools.

Every child deserves to feel confident, supported, and seen. And every parent deserves to feel hopeful. 💛

🎬 Movie Night Club Edition 🍿

One of my favourite little traditions is Sunday Movie Night Club with . 💛 Every week, we pick something from our ever-growing list — usually a mix of 80s–00s favourites and films we’ve been meaning to watch forever. Our shared love of musicals always sneaks in too 🎶 (singalong heaven!).

It’s such a simple thing, but something I look forward to — a cosy Sunday reset that’s all about slowing down, switching off, and enjoying the little moments. ✨ Taking time like this to pause and recharge isn’t just a nice extra — it’s essential for our minds and wellbeing. It helps lower stress, boost mood, and makes it easier to show up for the week ahead feeling grounded and recharged. 🌿

🌿 Day-to-Day Wellbeing: Move Together edition

When you both love stretching and clown-inspired bottoms 🤡💛

A little Take 5 moment — Be Active, Connect, and Keep Learning.
Doing some gentle stretches and breath work to help calm our nervous systems before bed. My 6-year-old nephew joined me in my nighttime stretch routine while showing me some of his stretches from gymnastics— plus a few of his amazing moves. Lots of fun teaching each other, moving and laughing together (completely twinning in our outfits by accident, we just so happen to be very fun people).

A lovely reminder that wellbeing doesn’t have to be perfect — sometimes it’s simply about slowing down, sharing a moment, and feeling good together. 🌈
