Today, February 5th is Time to Talk Day, the Nation’s biggest Mental Health conversation.
It’s a day to pause, connect, and speak openly about how we’re really feeling.
Mental health problems are more common than many people realise. They can affect anyone, at any time. Talking honestly — even in small ways — can make a real difference to your wellbeing and help you feel less alone.
It’s normal to feel unsure about reaching out. Worries about cost, waiting lists, or whether your struggles are “serious enough” often stop people from starting a conversation.
But seeking support isn’t a sign of weakness, it’s actually a strength. Reaching out early can prevent challenges from becoming overwhelming. It gives you space to reflect, process, and gain clarity before difficulties escalate.
For adults looking for support, The Counselling Partnership, an Elmbridge-based charity, provides one-to-one counselling in a safe and welcoming environment.
Their Counsellors work with adults experiencing a wide range of difficulties, including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, trauma, relationship challenges, bereavement, work-life pressures, or feeling overwhelmed.
Support is affordable and easily accessible. Find out more and self-refer yourself for support at:
