A wonderful day out for some of our residents who enjoyed a trip to Richmond Park ☀️

It was a lovely opportunity to spend time outdoors, relax by the water, and take in the beautiful surroundings. We were even lucky enough to spot some of the park’s famous deer, which made the afternoon extra special 🦌

We had a fantastic time celebrating St Patrick’s Day at Signature at Banstead ☘️

All of our team wore green to show their Irish cheer, helping to create a fun and festive atmosphere for both our residents and colleagues. From decorations to great company, it was a wonderful way to mark the occasion together.

And just for the record… no Guinness was consumed (strictly for display purposes only 😅)

Last week, we celebrated International Women’s Day in true Signature style! We were delighted to welcome the talented Christie, who belted out some incredible tunes that had the whole room moving. 🎶

As you can see, our residents absolutely love their live entertainment, and we might have even discovered some secret cheerleaders in the process! 📣

What a fantastic way to finish our Wellness Week - with a feel-good Friday full of fun, smiles and positive vibes 🤠🎸

Our Country & Western-themed afternoon had everyone toe-tapping, clapping, and singing along to the tunes from Lee, while enjoying some tasty Wild West snacks. A brilliant way to bring everyone together and end the week on a high note! 🎶

Finding your Flow .. the Tai Chi Way

Day 4 of our Wellness Week gently introduced residents and visitors to the calming world of tai chi, with Charles ☺️

His welcoming introduction and guided session encouraged everyone to take part in seated beginner routines and sparked an avid interest in this form of exercise 😀

Tai chi is a holistic exercise that benefits the body, mind and spirit. These gentle movements, focus on mindfulness, and balance training make it especially valuable for older adults 💜

We welcomed SB Physiotherapy to our home on day 3 of Wellness Week here 💜

Physiotherapists Celia and Arek set up mini assessments in our wonderful new Wellness Suite, focusing on mobility and balance checks for our residents. Each person received an individual report and was shown suggested tailored exercises to help support their general well-being and maintain mobility.

It was lovely to see everyone so engaged and motivated to keep well and active !

Falls Prevention … Top Tips

As we get older many of us may begin to feel unsteady on our feet, experience a fall or worry about the possibility of falling. There are a variety of reasons why our balance and strength can change over time, but the good news is that physiotherapy can play a key role in this.

For Day Two of our Wellness Week we were delighted to welcome Frances from Fairhand, visiting physiotherapists. Frances spoke to us about practical ways and helpful tips to reduce risks of falls. She also demonstrated simple but effective muscle-strengthening and balance exercises that can be incorporated into daily routines. Valuable advice to keep us feel more confident and steady on our feet!

Pampering for the Wealth of Well-being!

A sense of well-being is incredibly important for everyone - it lifts the spirit, relaxes the mind and body and creates a wonderful sense of calm. Our residents truly embraced that feel-good factor yesterday as we started our Wellness Week here.

The place to be was our salon, where the fabulous Sarah provided indulgent spa treatments including soothing hand and foot massages, aromatherapy facials and mini manicures. Each pampering session was perfectly rounded off with healthy smoothies and nourishing snacks.

Our residents felt beautifully pampered, relaxed and experienced the true wealth of well-being.

Tea, Treats, and Farmyard Friends! ☕🦆

Our Lavender Lane residents had the most "egg-cellent" afternoon last week! We took a trip to the private farm of our wonderful Dementia Care Manager for some fresh air and animal therapy.

A huge thank you to our team for going the extra mile to make these trips happen! 💜

Does Your Mother Know... how good she is at painting! 💃🎨✨

Our first-ever Sip & Paint was an absolute smash hit! We went full Mamma Mia this week, with ABBA’s greatest hits playing while our residents got creative with their canvases.

From Voulez-Vous to Waterloo, the energy was brilliant! It was a lot of hard work to set up, but seeing the residents enjoy the music and the Mediterranean vibes made it all worth it. As you can see, the results are simply masterpieces! 🥰

Thank you to everyone who made our Greek island getaway in Banstead so special. We can’t wait for the next one! 🥂
