Our Dementia Care Residents had a fabulous singing and music therapy session with Tracy today — the room was filled with smiles, laughter, and joyful energy! 💕

Music has an incredible way of connecting with people living with dementia. It can unlock memories, lift mood, reduce anxiety, and encourage social interaction — even when words are hard to find. The power of rhythm and familiar melodies truly brings comfort and happiness to everyone involved. 🌟

🇬🇧 Remembrance Day at Signature of Banstead 🇬🇧

Today, we came together to honour and remember all those who served and sacrificed during times of war💜

Our residents enjoyed a wonderful performance by The D-Day Dollies, who filled the home with wartime favourites and golden oldies. 🎶 We also spent time reminiscing and sharing stories about the incredible women and men who played vital roles during the war years.

To conclude our day of reflection, we held a moving moment of silence in memory of all those who gave their lives for our freedom. 🌺

Our residents had a wonderful time celebrating Guy Fawkes Night — building their very own ‘Guy’, gathering around the fire pit, and lighting up the evening with sparklers and smiles!

💡 Did you know?
The famous rhyme “Remember, remember the 5th of November” dates back over 400 years and commemorates the failed Gunpowder Plot of 1605, when Guy Fawkes and his group tried (unsuccessfully!) to blow up the Houses of Parliament. Ever since, Britons have marked the day with bonfires, fireworks, and fun!

We’ve had a busy few days filled with laughter, music, and autumn charm. Our residents enjoyed a refreshing trip to soak up the great outdoors, admired a beautiful harvest display celebrating the season, and were treated to fantastic live entertainment from the talented singer, Charlie! 🎶✨

It’s been a very merry Monday here at Signature at Banstead! 🥳

Over the weekend, our residents got crafty making their own fabulous hats — ribbons, feathers, glitter, and all! 🎨✨ And today, we put those masterpieces to good use at our Mad Hatter’s Tea Party!

There was laughter, plenty of tea, and some truly mad hat styles on display! 😄💐

🎨🕺 What a fabulous week at Signature of Banstead ! Our incredible Activities team has been keeping everyone busy with arts and crafts, gentle exercise, and lots of laughter. We wrapped up the week with a fantastic birthday party for Audrey, one of our lovely residents, and us all grooving to the twirling tunes of James Lin – The Funky Fiddler. 🥳🎻
