The third Lancashire Community Climate Action Forum is coming to Lancaster – and you’re invited.

Co-hosted by the University of Cumbria and Lancaster City Council, this event aims to bring together communities to share the climate solutions they’re working on and learn from each other.

But this isn’t just about talking - it’s about doing, connecting and moving faster together. By joining forces across the county, we can keep climate action rooted in our communities and shaped by the people who live here, both now and for the future.

⚠️ Royal Lancaster Infirmary is extremely busy, and is now at the highest level of alert.

Our teams are working incredibly hard and taking additional steps to maintain safe services for our patients, and cope with the significant and growing demand.

You can help us by using the most appropriate health service for your needs, and only attending A&E for serious accidents and emergencies.

If you are unwell and aren't sure what to do, visit NHS 111 online for 24/7 advice.

Unless you are contacted directly, please continue to turn up for your appointment, or tell us if you are no longer able to make it so the appointment can be reallocated to another patient.

Thank you for your understanding during this time.

💊❌ Antibiotics don’t treat colds or flu! 🤧🌡️

BMG patients, colds and flu are usually caused by viruses, which means they’re self-limiting — your body can fight them off with a bit of rest, fluids, and selfcare 🛌☕💧
Talking of self care: Your local pharmacy can help with many , over the counter remedies to help fight off these viruses.

👉 Antibiotics only work on bacteria, not viruses — so taking them when they’re not needed won’t help you get better faster.

Let’s all do our part to handle antibiotics with care 💙
Keeping these life-saving medicines effective for when they’re truly needed! 🙌💪
