Anxiety doesn’t always look like panic attacks or not being able to leave the house.

Sometimes it looks like overthinking every little thing.
Replaying conversations.
Feeling on edge for no clear reason.
Struggling to switch off, even when you’re exhausted.

A lot of the women I work with don’t even realise it’s anxiety at first… they just know something doesn’t feel right.

I’ve had some time away from socials recently, and it wasn’t planned… it just happened.

Between time with family, celebrating my birthday, working with clients, and completing my NLP Mastery, something shifted a bit.

Coming back now, I’m not in a rush to “catch up” or overdo it. That old way of doing things doesn’t really fit anymore.

So this is me… I’m back on socials but doing it a little differently, easing myself back into things rather than rushing it.

After almost 3 years, this weekend marked the completion of my NLP Mastery journey.

All assessments passed… but the real gift has been the people, working alongside incredible practitioners, building friendships I know will last, and being part of something that’s stretched and shaped me in ways I didn’t expect.

There’s been so much learning, deep personal transformation, and moments that will stay with me for a long time.

I feel a huge amount of gratitude for everyone who’s been part of this, my fellow Master Practitioners, and of course my tutor and mentor, Alan.

A special thank you my family, Lee and girls, who have supported me through this since day one.

The official learning may have come to an end… but the real learning? That’s only just getting started.

Anxiety Doesn’t Take Saturdays Off

It’s the weekend… but your mind didn’t get the memo, did it?

You’re meant to be relaxing, maybe even enjoying some quiet time, but instead your brain is replaying conversations, scanning for what might go wrong, or writing tomorrow’s to-do list before you’ve even finished your tea.

Most advice about anxiety is about managing it.

Breathe through it. Journal about it. Practice mindfulness. Learn to live with it.

Those things can help., but they don't always shift it.

There's a difference between managing anxiety and actually changing the pattern that causes it.

The approaches I use including techniques such as IEMT and NLP work with how your brain stores and responds to the anxiety trigger itself.

We're not talking about it in circles. or learning to cope. We're actually changing the way your nervous system responds.

I've seen women who have lived with anxiety for years suddenly feel free of it. Not because they're stronger or more disciplined but because something in the pattern shifted.

Today I turn 50. 🥂

I'm excited, happy and fully at peace with being 50 years young. 50 feels like exactly where I'm meant to be.

I've got three incredible daughters, a granddaughter who is just over four months old, 25 years of marriage (later this year), an alternative therapy and wellbeing practice I love and a brand new membership just launched.

Not bad for half a century. 😄

Also get to be myself, the real version, I know not everyone gets to say that. I'm embracing the grey hair, the laughter lines (aka wrinkles) and everything else that comes along with age. Getting older is a privilege and one I don't take for granted for a single second.

Here's to 50. 🥂🌿

If you could change one belief… what would it be?

Have a quick think.

What’s the thing that tends to show up just as you’re about to do something a bit different, a bit bold, or even just something for yourself?

For some people it’s “I’ll mess this up.”
For others it’s “I’m not good enough.”
Or “I should be focusing on everyone else first.”

They’re not always loud, but they’re there… and they have more influence than people realise.
They shape what you say yes to, what you avoid, and how you feel about yourself day to day.

Most of them aren’t even current. They’re just old ideas that have stuck around a bit too long. And they can change.

That’s the work I do with women. We don’t sit and analyse it all to death… we actually shift how your mind responds, so those old beliefs stop having the same hold.

Things start to feel different quite quickly when that happens.

So I’ll ask you again… If you could change just one belief, what would it be?

I won’t be sharing 50 life lessons 😏but I will say this... life feels a lot simpler when you stop trying to be everything to everyone.

Everything can look fine on paper… and still not feel right.

A lot of the women I work with don’t come to me in full-blown crisis.

They come because they feel a bit… meh.

On paper, everything looks fine. Life’s ticking along as it should, but they’re overthinking more than they used to, feeling a bit flat, or just not quite themselves. It’s hard to put your finger on, which usually means it gets brushed off.

So they carry on. They push through, tell themselves it’s just a phase, and hope it sorts itself out.

Sometimes it does… but quite often it doesn’t.

What I see time and time again is that when something shifts internally, everything else starts to feel different quite quickly. Your head feels clearer, things don’t get to you in the same way, and you start to feel more like yourself again.

That’s the work I do. We don’t spend weeks going over everything that’s ever happened. We work with what’s coming up for you now, using effective techniques such as IEMT, NLP and Metaphors of Movement.

You don’t have to wait until it gets worse to do something about it.

I’ve just had a lovely weekend in the Lakes celebrating ahead of turning 50 on Wednesday…

It’s safe to say I’ve come back feeling refreshed, recharged, and ready for whatever this week brings, including moving onto the next decade.

There’s something about a bit of time away that gives you space to reset and come back clearer.
