📚 Book Recommendation
I Feel Bad About My Neck
by Nora Ephron (Author), Dolly Alderton (Introduction)

'So bold and so vulnerable at the same time. I don't know how she did it' - Phoebe Waller-Bridge

Now with an introduction from Dolly Alderton, author of Everything I Know About Love, revealing how a new generation of women can take inspiration from Nora's sharp wit and wisdom about life.

*Never marry a man you wouldn't want to be divorced from.

* If the shoe doesn't fit in the shoe store, it's never going to fit.

* When your children are teenagers, it's important to have a dog so that someone in the house is happy to see you.

* If only one third of your clothes are mistakes, you're ahead of the game.

* Anything you think is wrong with your body at the age of thirty-five you will be nostalgic for by the age of forty-five.

This feedback is important for everyone to read.
Therapy doesn’t just happen for 50 minutes once a week, real progress comes from taking time to process, reflect, and work through your thoughts, and from gently putting any needed changes into practice.

This client knows that we are here when she is ready and has the space to continue. Support remains available, at her pace.
We have daytime adult appointments available: https://www.rephaelhouse.org.uk/Referral/LowCostServicesForm

Rephael House Volunteer Digital Champion (Social Media Engagement Support)

👉🏽Time commitment: Just 30 minutes per week

👉🏽Platforms: Facebook, Instagram & TikTok

👉🏽Are you active on social media and keen to support a good cause in a super simple way? We’re looking for a small team of Digital Champions to help raise our charity’s profile by engaging with our online content.

❓What is a Digital Champion?
A Digital Champion is a volunteer who helps strengthen a charity’s online presence by using their everyday social media skills, no technical expertise required.

❓What You’ll Do
Rather than creating content, your role will focus on simple weekly engagement tasks, such as:
• Liking, sharing, and reacting to our posts across Facebook, Instagram and TikTok to boost visibility
• Leaving friendly comments to help build a warm and welcoming online community
• Keeping an eye on what performs well to help us understand which posts resonate most

All we ask is around 30 minutes a week, done from home, whenever it suits you.

❓Who We’re Looking For
You don’t need any formal experience, just the right attitude:
• Enthusiastic and proactive about helping a charity grow online
• Friendly and communicative, comfortable engaging positively with posts and comments
• Confident using social media (or happy to learn)
• Patient and adaptable, able to work independently and keep up with changing trends

❓What You’ll Gain

By joining us, you’ll help make a real impact through very small but meaningful actions:
• Increasing the reach of our charity, helping more people discover our services and support us
• Strengthening engagement, making our social media more active, friendly and visible
• Building our capacity as a small charity with limited staff time
Support & Training
You won’t be on your own, we’ll make sure you feel confident with regular check ins for ideas, support and updates

💌Interested?
We’d love to hear from you!
This is a small time commitment that helps us make a big difference.

2️⃣ Say no without over-explaining

“I’m going to pass, but thank you for thinking of me.”

3️⃣ Protect your time and energy

Good Girl Deprogramming: Unleash The Rebel Within
Michelle Minnikin (Author), Ceryn Rowntree (Foreword)

In 2023's Barbie Movie, America Ferrera's iconic speech magically deprogrammed the Barbies from patriarchy. And now Michelle Minnikin is here to do the same for women of the real world. From our first days on Earth, we're taught what it means to be a Good Girl. Look good, be nice, stay quiet, and take care of everyone else... The list goes on, and at the heart of it all, one message shines through: Do as you're told or pay the price. In Good Girl Deprogramming, Michelle shines a light on the sinister nature, tactics and tricks of coercive control that not only program us to be Good Girls but keep us in that mindset for the years, decades, and generations that follow. With ferocity, empathy, and just enough humour to prevent the idea of being brainwashed by patriarchy too depressing, Michelle shares stories, facts and actionable advice that empowers women to break free from our own programming and rediscover who we truly are. Good Girl Deprogramming isn't just a book, it's a movement. One that takes each of us by the hand and invites us to step into the life that is powerfully, beautifully and unapologetically yours. Are you in?
