During February 2026, we delivered 117 therapy sessions free of charge to children as young as 4 years old through our commissioned service.
Early support can make a lifelong difference, and we are proud to be part of that journey.

Our rooms are more than just a chair and a box of tissues.
They are spaces to breathe, to pause, and to be heard.

When that happens, healing can begin.

So much thought goes into the aesthetics of our rooms. We often ask ourselves:
Would we feel comfortable here?
Would we feel safe enough to share our story here?
Would we allow ourselves to cry here?

If the answer is yes, then we know we have achieved what we set out to create, a space where people can truly be themselves.
Therapy works in the right environment, with the right person.

The Year I Met My Brain: A travel companion for adults who have just found out they have ADHD
📚Author
Matilda Boseley

Matilda Boseley’s adult ADHD diagnosis was a massive, earth-shattering event. She was given a prescription but had no idea what ADHD meant for her identity, her relationships or her future.
Twelve months of confusion later, journalist Matilda embarked on an epic voyage to figure out what’s really happening in the stormy seas of the ADHD brain and write the guide she wished she’d had.
The Year I Met My Brain is the ultimate travel companion for navigating and enjoying life as an ADHD adult, covering:

- what adult ADHD symptoms look like
- why so many ADHDers (especially females) are missed as kids
- how the disorder impacts our relationships, careers and self-esteem
- why we unfairly treat ourselves like failures – and how to find self-forgiveness and healing
- practical tips for social and organisational wins
- and, most importantly, how to make our lives work to fit our brains rather than trying to force our brains to fit our lives.

Uplifting, empowering, deeply researched and sparkling with 'a-ha' moments, The Year I Met My Brain is an invaluable resource for ADHDers and those who love them.

🙏🏽We’re thrilled to share some amazing news!
Rephael House has been awarded funding through the Space2Grow #40 Main Grant 2025 from the Young Barnet Foundation.

A huge thank you to YBF for believing in our work and supporting our mission to provide crucial emotional and wellbeing support for children and young people in Barnet.

This funding will allow us to launch a brand-new specialist programme designed to empower neurodiverse children and young people — more details coming very soon!

We are incredibly grateful for this partnership and excited for the positive impact it will create.

💛 Children’s Mental Health Week 💛

We often think of domestic abuse as something that only affects adults, but children are victims too.

Around 1 in 5 children in the UK experience domestic abuse. Recent UK statistics, cited in Parliament debates, show that approximately 20% of children are affected, either as direct victims or as witnesses in their own homes.

In England and Wales alone, over 827,000 children may have experienced domestic abuse in a single year.

The need for our children’s service at Rephael House Counselling continues to grow, and with it, the need for your support.

Support doesn’t always have to be financial. A simple like or share could help someone find the help they need.
