Spring is coming, soft and slow,
Melting winter’s frost and snow.
Green shoots rise from quiet ground,
Birdsong fills the air with sound.
In the fields the lambs now play,
Leaping bright in warm new day.
White as clouds with joyful cries,
They dance beneath the waking skies.
By the gate we stand,
Resting on our folded hands.
Watching lambs in sunlight’s glow,
Smiling at the life below.

We started today with the ladies club and the subject of discussion was wedding memories. We had lots of lovely shared memories of the fashions, wedding venues and honeymoon destinations. A great morning of social interaction and reminiscence and of course the best china out for a cup of tea and a biscuit.
This afternoon was our first round of the ice cream trolley this year ,along with a singalong to Rogers & Hammerstein 😋 always a big hit with everyone enjoying a strawberry split or ice lolly and a good old sing

We’ve had a fantastic morning exploring Barnsley and seeing just how much it’s changed over the years! So many lovely surprises along the way.

Of course, we couldn’t head home without stopping for a little refreshment before the journey back. Perfect end to a perfect morning!
