A little preparation goes a long way. Here are quick tips to stay safe this winter:

✅ Stay Warm: Heat your home to at least 18°C and check on elderly neighbours.

💙 Pregnant and living in Barnsley? Get Your Free Flu Vaccine

Protect yourself and your baby this winter.
Here’s how you can get your flu jab locally:

🟦 Pregnant people can use the Maternity Vaccination HUB Walk-In Service at Women’s Services, Ground Floor, Barnsley Hospital.
✅ No appointment needed
✅ Ask your midwife or check the Barnsley Hospital maternity pages for up-to-date clinic times.
✅ Check you are up-to-date with all you vaccinations during pregnancy
✅ Book Online - If you prefer to book an appointment with us then use the link - appointments available Monday to Friday this week.

🟦 Through Your GP
Contact your GP surgery to book a flu vaccination appointment.

🟦 Local Pharmacies
Many Barnsley pharmacies offer free NHS flu jabs (18+).
Some allow walk-ins — others may need a booking.

If you would like to learn more about vaccines in pregnancy such as the flu vaccine, Whooping Cough (Pertussis) or Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) Vaccine ask your midwife or visit Vaccinations in pregnancy - NHS website.
