๐ฌ So this is a little bit of a silly video (I love being silly) with an important message: why practise Pilates?
Pilates is for every body and this is what I always come back to as my daily/weekly/monthly reminder. Read that again. ๐ฃ๐ถ๐น๐ฎ๐๐ฒ๐ ๐ถ๐ ๐ณ๐ผ๐ฟ ๐๐ซ๐๐ง๐ฎ ๐ฏ๐ผ๐ฑ๐
Ultimately I teach Pilates as I want everyone to experience a sense of enjoyment and fun with movement, in whatever shape or form it takes in YOUR body. I want to help improve functional fitness so we can go about our lives moving with a sense of ease and to the best of our ability, alongside Pilates principles of control, flow and precision
For me it really isn't about mastering impressive movements or being 'the best' but it is about working with your body and range of movement, feeling connected and improving strength, coordination and flexibility in order to live a more fulfilled life
I regularly move so I can continue to enjoy going to festivals, being silly with friends, surfing, dancing all night, cycling and so on
Movement is about encouraging what you can do. It is acceptance and grace. It is about trust and resilience and loving all parts of your body, even the stiff, creaky parts! The sheer joy of movement!
