🌹 This Remembrance Day, we stand together reflecting on the memories, courage and sacrifice of those who served.
Our residents have spent time reflecting on memories, creating poppy crafts, and joining in music from the wartime era - remembering with love those who sacrificed so much.
From cosy crafts and music afternoons to seasonal celebrations, there’s so much to look forward to this month at Swimbridge. Take a look at what’s coming up on our website - from exercise sessions with Pat to dog visits and activities over Remembrance Day, there is always so much going on at this time of year ! ✨
The Swimbridge Ghosts are on the run this Halloween 👻 👻👻
Happy Halloween everyone 👻🕷️🎃

💛 Living Well with Diabetes at Swimbridge Care Home
At Swimbridge, we believe that good care means helping each resident live well. For those managing diabetes, that means offering the right balance of care, understanding, and encouragement to support both health and happiness.
Our approach is all about person-centred care. From our chefs preparing nutritious, delicious meals designed to help maintain steady blood sugar levels, to our staff encouraging light exercise and hydration, every part of our day supports wellbeing.
We also work closely with healthcare professionals and families to ensure residents receive the very best care for their individual needs.

Swimbridge House Nursing Home is a 44-bed purpose-built nursing home, for those over 65, with an emphasis on a high standard of care.
The Home offers nursing, residential and respite care, where the physical and mental well-being of each resident is looked after in a warm and welcoming environment. We also specialise in dementia care and are accredited for the ‘Six Steps’ End-of-Life Care.
We work closely with the families of those who live with us to ensure they are involved in planning the care we provide and keep them informed of their family member’s progress. Our highly trained and dedicated Staff have a ‘One Team’ approach to put the residents at the centre of all they do and provide a home from home environment. The management and owners are all involved in the day to day running of the home and know each resident and staff member personally.
The Home is registered with the Care Quality Commission and is rated as ‘Good’. We are situated just outside the North Devon village of Swimbridge in a scenic rural setting, in between the regional centre of Barnstaple and South Molton.
We understand it is big decision to choose a nursing home and we provide a free trial day where potential residents can experience first-hand the benefits of our Home. To arrange a visit or for any information you may need in relation to residing at Swimbridge Nursing Home, please call 01271 830599 and ask for the Manager.
