Thank you to the colleagues of our sorely missed team member Charlie Wilkins at the Fremington Medical Centre who have been raising funds for ESRT at their recent Flu Clinics. It's lovely to continue remembering Charlie and his similar generous spirit. Thank you.

Massive thank you to the Barnstaple Floral Art Club who have made a very generous donation to our Barnstaple Alliance Dementia Support Worker fundraising. The final total was actually £1015. Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service have launched SAME4 campaign – raising awareness of the four key risk factors they see when investigating fatal fires in the home 🔥
'SAME' stands for:
S – Smoking - especially indoors or in bed 🚬
A – Age (65+) - those over 65 are at higher risk 👱🏼
M – Mobility - reduced mobility or mobility equipment blocking exit routes ♿
E – Emollient creams - medical skin creams, used for conditions like for eczema, that can build up on fabrics and ignite easily🧴
When two or more of these risks are present, the likelihood of someone having a serious fire increases significantly.

We’re calling upon caregivers, family members, friends of vulnerable people, and medical professionals to help raise awareness among communities across Devon and Somerset.

If you know someone who may be at increased risk, you can support them by sharing this message or helping them access a free Home Safety Visit.

Visit our campaign page on their website for further details. Link in the comments below 👇🏿
