Hello!! It has been a while since I posted last! Hope your all well! I came on because like many, we have been very busy of late! Getting up to feed calves before and after work and school plus children doing homework, clubs etc and we needed a much needed break…just for a couple of hours to rest and recuperate yesterday, even if we did get windswept 😂
Our bodies are not indestructible, they do need to rest! We all do it don’t we?! Carry on and not listen to ourselves BUT eventually Everyone reaches the BURNTOUT stage where you physically cannot move or think.
Complementary therapies are the perfect way to rest & rebalance for we all need some TLC at some point! Feel free to message!

Get out and about on the 4th of July for a Book Hunt! I will be hiding a whole load of books around Barnstaple’s safe places and parks for children and families to get out in the fresh air and well, Look For A Book! 📖
The best part? After your children have finished reading the book, it is up to them whether they keep the book, gift it to a friend or rehide for someone else to find! ✨
Don’t forget to take a picture with your book and tag us so we can see our books in the hands of their new owners! 📸

Cook, clean, wash clothes, load the dishwasher, sweep, hoover, feed animals, feed humans, dishwasher, floor, bed time, wash, sit for abit before bed 😅 exhausting right?! That’s only some of it! That all surrounds your work day! We are super women who sometimes may go undetected. However we wouldn’t have it any other way…husband, children, animals who we love, nurture, soothe, protect and would do anything for even when the bickering from being overtired drives you around the bend and you yourself are tired from being at work BUT you still love, nurture and support because you simply would not be without them!

Stunning Sunday morning perfect for taking some time out for yourself!
We went to look at a bull this morning before my son’s football match! Typical that the cloud should cover the sun at this point to ensure that all parents watching should freeze 😂 then feeding up the animals before ourselves!
Chores, work and daily life can mean that it’s difficult to take time out but rushing around causes our cortisol (stress hormone) to rise and therefore tension rises within the body! Muscles ache and nothing internal and externally works aswell!
Work whether house or work work will always be there but we will not always! Looking after yourself and ensuring you lead the life you want to live has to prioritise other things, otherwise before you know it, life will have flown by and you will have not achieved or done the things you want to do!
I have a very busy week this week but I shall make time for myself otherwise I’ll go insane!! 😂

Thankfully today, I went to get my back sorted! It feels so much better! We all need a helping hand sometimes and the relief that comes from that is comforting!
I will as usual be going on the farm but today I shall not be doing anything to undo the work that has gone in!
What have you done today to help yourself?
Selfcare? Massage? Met up with a friend?
Whatever you may have done, hope you had a great time and takecare!
P.s this week I’m giving myself abjt of TLC and so apart from work at the fern centre and on the farm…. I’m not seeing anyone this week at home but will be next week! Thankyou for understanding! 😊

Generally I’m lucky in the aches and pains department but today, it’s a different matter! My back is feeling it! My daughter actually gave me a massage which was really good and helped.
Aches and pains are debilitating, normal things are hard to do because at the end of the day…everything is interlinked and so you end up feeling old and decrepit!!
Do you feel like you look after yourself? Or do you neglect yourself and take everything for granted?
At the end of the day we can all do the later when we feel our version of “normal”
But it’s important to take steps to reduce the likelihood of getting crippled!
Simple stretches Daily!
Reduce stress
Make time for your wellbeing!
I have been doing my exercises however the last couple of days….i have not, which I’m sure has contributed to it!

What do you enjoy doing? Simple question?
Not for many as often you go from one job to the other with little time inbetween to stop!
Remember when you were a child/teen what you enjoyed doing? Listening to music, seeing your friends with no responsibilities or troubles apart from which boy you fancy! Or girl friend trouble!
The point is you could do what you wanted (within reason!) but now your an adult you should put yourself last and everyone first? Absolutely not! Yes care for your loved ones but take time out for you!
Make a time that you can dedicate to yourself. It could be a bubble bath to relax in, a walk on the beach or a 10 minute coffee with a magazine or you could book yourself a treatment with me!
On Sunday we went to Lynmouth for lunch and although it was a short trip, it was lovely with the tide in and waves rolling in!
