PH Care Group stands united in the global fight to eliminate violence against women.

Violence against women is a violation of human rights and dignity. It takes many forms — physical, emotional, economic, and psychological — and it affects women and girls in every community, across every society.

With a workforce made up predominantly of women, this is not just a cause we support — it is a reality that touches our lives, our colleagues, and our communities. Today, and every day, we stand in solidarity with survivors and demand action, accountability, and change.

There is no place for violence against women in any home, workplace, or society. We commit to raising awareness, fostering safety, and supporting all those affected — because silence is not an option.

We believe every woman deserves to live and work free from fear.

Today is National Carers Day – 21st November 2025

At PH Care Group, we’re incredibly proud to celebrate the heart of our homes — our dedicated, compassionate, and skilled care workers. Every day, they bring patience, kindness, professionalism, and genuine love to the lives of our residents.

Whether it’s offering a listening ear, comforting hand, or simply being there with a smile, our care workers make a difference in countless small and meaningful ways.

✨ “It’s not just a job, it’s a calling.”
✨ “They are like family to me.” – Margaret, Resident
✨ “The support we give is from the heart.” – Grace, Care Worker

Today, we honour and thank every member of our team who goes above and beyond to provide safe, person-centred, respectful care — not just today, but every day of the year.

To all care workers: your work is essential, your care is valued, and your impact is immeasurable. Thank you.

Celebrating Homemade Bread Day – Warm Memories & Comforting Aromas

We don’t know about you, but nothing beats the smell of freshly baked homemade bread! That golden-crusted loaf, just out of the oven and smothered in real butter, can instantly transport us back to grandma’s kitchen. It’s pure nostalgia and comfort rolled into one. November 17th is Homemade Bread Day, a perfect time to celebrate the art of home baking.

Homes around the country fill with warm, comforting aromas, reminding us to slow down and savor life’s simple joys.

At PH Care Group, we’re joining the celebration by baking bread with our residents – and we invite you to share your own family secret or favorite bread recipe with us!

After all, this day is all about appreciating homemade bread and sharing cherished recipes and traditions.

Diabetes Awareness Day – 14 November 2025

Today, we recognise Diabetes Awareness Day, a vital opportunity to increase understanding of a condition affecting millions across the UK. At PH Care Group, we remain committed to promoting health, wellbeing, and early awareness for all residents, families, and colleagues.

Diabetes can impact people in different ways, and early recognition of symptoms—such as increased thirst, tiredness, slow-healing wounds, or frequent infections—can make a significant difference to long-term health. Raising awareness helps ensure that individuals receive timely support, appropriate monitoring, and personalised care.

Our teams continue to work with healthcare professionals, families, and residents to encourage healthier lifestyles, balanced nutrition, and proactive management of health conditions. Together, we can support better understanding, reduce stigma, and promote early intervention.

Let us take today as a reminder of the importance of education, compassion, and continued conversation around diabetes and its impact on everyday life.

Employee of The Month - October

Jessica has been described by colleagues as a true breath of fresh air this month. Her positivity, energy, and infectious laughter have brought smiles to both residents and fellow team members.

Her cheerful spirit and sense of humour — along with her “questionable” singing — have kept everyone entertained and filled the home with warmth and joy. Jessica’s ability to lift the mood and create a happy, welcoming atmosphere embodies the very essence of our values.

Well done, Jessica — your enthusiasm and dedication make a real difference every day!

Daylight Savings – It’s Time to Turn the Clocks Back!

This weekend, the clocks go back one hour as we move into shorter days and longer nights.

While many of us simply enjoy an extra hour in bed, we recognise that the change can be unsettling for some residents, particularly those living with dementia. Disruptions to routine, changes in natural light, and altered sleep patterns can sometimes lead to increased confusion, restlessness, or changes in mood.

At PH Care Group, our care workers are mindful of these effects and will be supporting residents with gentle reassurance, consistent routines, and meaningful activities to ease the transition.

Families can also help by:
* Offering reassurance and comfort during visits.
* Helping to maintain familiar daily routines.
* Making the most of natural daylight to support healthy sleep patterns.

Together, we can ensure this seasonal change is managed with care, patience, and understanding.
