🎄❄️🎁 Free festive parking on Thursdays after 2pm this December!
Shoppers and traders are being given a festive boost with free parking in the run-up to Christmas in Westmorland and Furness Council-operated pay-and-display car parks.

The free parking offer will be consistent across Westmorland and Furness and will encourage Christmas shoppers to visit our towns and villages at a traditionally quieter time.
Councillor Peter Thornton, Cabinet Member for Highways and ICT, said: "Our free parking offer is one way we show our support for the diverse, unique and vibrant shops in our towns and villages in the run-up to Christmas.
"Free parking on a Thursday will help revive the late-night shopping experience many of us remember growing up, supporting a lively and welcoming evening atmosphere.
"I would appeal to everybody looking to do some Christmas shopping to support their local shops and to take the time to experience all the brilliant amenities and attractions these places have to offer."
