March is Endometriosis Awareness Month – raising awareness of a condition that affects 1 in 10 women worldwide, yet is still widely misunderstood.

And this one’s personal. I’m Emma and I run Barry Therapy Centre. I lived with severe endometriosis for 25 years before finally getting it under control about 8 years ago.

I am the 1 in 10.

Endometriosis is far more than “bad period pain.” It can involve chronic pelvic and lower back pain, fatigue, inflammation, brain fog, digestive issues, joint and leg pain, and a level of exhaustion that doesn’t disappear after a good night’s sleep. Many people live with their bodies constantly in a state of tension – muscles tight and the nervous system on high alert.

Living with a long-term condition like this makes you very aware of what genuinely helps your body… and what doesn’t. It’s one of the reasons I became a therapist, and why I invested in our dry flotation bed.

When lying on a dry flotation bed, your body is supported by warm water beneath a soft membrane. You stay completely dry, but the sensation is similar to floating – weightless and free from the pressure gravity normally puts on the body.

Dry flotation can help with:
• Releasing deep muscle tension
