I’m going to miss you all, I won’t be a stranger though and sure I will see you around our town .

After nearly 25 years of serving the families of Barry, it's with a very heavy heart that I share
I'll be stepping away from Lyndsay Ellis @ The Vale Funeral Service, Barry at the end of this month.

I've been given the opportunity to take on a new role as Deputy Managing Director with Green Willow Funerals, a senior managerial role continuing my journey in the funeral profession that has meant so much to me.

Supporting families through their most difficult times has never just been a job, it's been a true calling and one of the greatest honours of my life.

I'm so deeply grateful to every family who trusted me to care for their loved ones, and to my colleagues who've stood beside me over the years.

This decision hasn't been an easy one. Barry, and the people here, have truly become part of who l am.

While it feels like the end of an era, I take comfort knowing that my heart, and my commitment to caring for families with compassion and respect will always stay the same.

Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for your kindness, friendship, and unwavering support over the years. I'll always be grateful for the love this community has shown me.

I wish whoever follows in my footsteps every success, and I truly hope they feel the same warmth and pride I've been lucky enough to know every single day.

I Attended Langstone Vale Crematorium with other funeral colleagues and celebrants to take a look at their new plans to become the first crematorium in Wales providing a dynamic Canvas Wall ( as pictured )
Together with their atmospheric lighting and various personal tributes, gives another bespoke service to give our bereaved families a lasting memory of their loved ones .

March is an exciting time ahead for the crematorium and those Funeral Directors, Officiants who use Langstone Vale Crematorium.

Resting in the care of Lyndsay Ellis @ The Vale Funeral Service, Court Road, Barry until his service will take place at Cardiff & Glamorgan Crematorium, Port Road, Barry on Tuesday 24th February 2026 at 11AM💛

Family flowers only - donations if desired may be made at the service to support Marie Curie Hospice (Penarth) in his memory. 💛🌼

Stafford will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him💛

Peacefully at the University Hospital Of Wales, Cardiff - Graham, devoted husband of Mary.

Peacefully at the University Of Wales Hospital - Helen, well known for her time as a teacher in Cadoxton, Barry and devoted wife to Malcolm. Much loved Mum of Peter, Kathryn and Elizabeth, special mother in law of Debbie & Rick. A cherished Gran to all her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her

The family wish to announce the sad passing of Paul at Llandough Hospital, Penarth.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Paul’s Funeral Service will take place at Cardiff & Glamorgan Crematorium on Tuesday 17th February at 4:00pm.
