It’s Meet the team Monday again - and this week it’s time to meet our fabulously stylish dispensing optician Erin.
Having joined the Arbuthnots team in 2020, Erin completed her dispensing studies and became a fully qualified DO in 2024. Erin has a brilliant eye for what frames will suit our patients.
As well as dispensing, more recently Erin has completed her low vision training - meaning that she can carry out assessments to assist those patients with reduced vision.
Outside of work Erin enjoys spending time with her partner, family and friends - and is perfecting the art of bread making and is trying her hand at jam making too (I’m happy to taste test any time you need it Erin!).

It’s Meet the team Mondays - we’re kickstarting 2026 with a little weekly introduction to our wonderful team members who you may come across in Barry and Penarth.
Wendy joined our front of house team 2 and a half years ago, and divides her time between both practices.
Greeting the patients is what Wendy enjoys most, and she’s becoming a knowledgeable source on dry eye and eye care products.
When not helping to keep Arbuthnots run smoothly, Wendy can be found organising her family - including 2 teenage sons - and sometimes finds herself a football widow at the weekends!

Just a reminder that we close at 1pm today in both practices... So if you've been meaning to grab some dry eye drops or fix that broken pair of specs, make sure you come in before we're gone for a couple days rest. 🎅🎄✨

We will reopen on Monday the 29th December 9am-5pm. If you have an eye related emergency in this time period, you should contact 111.
