She has a combined prescription of -7.00D we fitted her with Seiko Prime X 1.67 varifocal lenses. 🤓✨

Happy Monday! - today’s meet the team Monday is all about Lesley. If you’ve visited our Barry practice at any time in the last 22 years, there’s a good chance it’s Lesley that has greeted you with a smile. She has the most fantastic memory for remembering all our patients! Lesley considers herself lucky that so many of our patients now feel like family or good friends as she has got to know them so well over the years.
Lesley has been married to Peter for 42 years and they have 2 daughters and 1 grandson. In her spare time, she loves socialising with friends - but can sometimes also be spotted cheering on the Cardiff devils ice hockey team with her family.
If we let her escape for more than a couple of days, Lesley also loves her family holidays. Always good to have a holiday in the diary to look forward to!

We fitted varifocal lenses so he can move seamlessly from distance to reading in one pair of specs.

His lenses also include UV400 protection, blocking harmful UV rays for added eye protection outdoors. ✨

It’s Monday….it must be time for the next episode of Meet the team! We have a wonderful team of ladies, but to redress the balance - this week it’s the turn of optometrist James.
James joined Arbuthnots back in 2004, and has been a partner since 2008. Most recently he has achieved his Independent Prescriber qualification - this allows him to treat and manage more complex cases in the community.
James has a passion for rugby, and now that his playing days are behind him he enjoys coaching his son’s team at Penarth rugby club.
If he has any other spare time, you might find James out walking with the latest member of the family - one year old canine companion Ronnie.
