Crohn's & Colitis UK are the UK’s leading charity for Crohn’s and Colitis.

A stoma is an opening on the wall of your tummy that brings your bowel to the outside. If you have a stoma, the contents of your gut do not travel all the way through your bowel to come out of your bottom. Instead, they come out of the stoma into a bag you wear on your tummy. An ostomy is another name for a stoma. Some people who have stomas call themselves ‘ostomates’.

Did you know the Waterfront Medical Centre offer Contraceptive Implants and Coils? If you would like to request a coil or implant, submit a request form via the surgery website under the 'Online Health Forms' section. Alternatively, you can pick up paper request forms at the reception desk.

Do you know what happens at your breast screening appointment?

Knowing what to expect in your appointment can help you feel more at ease. The staff (mammographers) will always be female and are trained to help you feel more comfortable and give you support.

Vulval cancer is rare and mostly affects women over 65 years old, but it can affect anyone who has a v***a. If you notice any changes in the normal appearance of your v***a, contact your GP.
