Whilst acupuncture has been included as a first line treatment within NICE guidelines for some time now, many GPs have been quite slow to get on board with this.

British Acupuncture Council members, of which I am one, are Professional Standards Agency accredited meaning that we are perfectly placed to collaborate with GPs and other healthcare professionals.

Earlier this week I attended an event at Lichfield Guildhall with friends about the Witchfinder General. This is me being accused of witchcraft by John Hopkins, the self appointed Witchfinder General, simply for practising acupuncture.

Now I’m absolutely sure that as an acupuncturist who aims to treat pain without medication, helps women to conceive both with and without IVF and as someone who questions why my patients are on the medication that they are on, I am sure that Big Pharma would love to burn me at the stake 🔥🧙🏻‍♀️

I’m not anti-medication at all, and for many people it is essential that they continue to take their prescribed medications. But I do feel that it’s far too easy these days to reach for a pill or injection for a quick fix when there may be a better way.

If you’re not happy with the side effects of your medication, are looking to reduce medication or simply don’t want medication in the first place then please reach out to me to see if I can help in any way.

Last week I attended the Woman Who Solopreneur awards.

I was blown away to be a finalist in these national awards. Unfortunately I didn’t win this time but I can’t grumble as I was an award winner at the Woman Who Achieves awards earlier this year.

It was lovely to see other women with such inspirational business have their time in the spotlight.

It’s never easy coming back off holiday but in the past few weeks since returning I’ve had such amazing news from some of my fertility patients that I actually feel privileged to be back in my little clinic 🥰

Both IVF patients who I was treating right up to the day before my holiday are now pregnant and enjoying their first trimester.

Another lady who had acupuncture for natural fertility to help with conceiving with a PCOS diagnosis gave birth to a beautiful baby girl while I was away. And she never had to go through the stress and expense of assisted fertility.

And finally, a lovely lady who has suffered recurrent early miscarriage is now safely through her first trimester and finally able to relax and enjoy the rest of her pregnancy.

I no longer keep count of how many pregnancies and newborn babies that Flo Acupuncture has played a tiny part in but each and every single one of them makes every moment of accommodating them outside of my usual working hours worthwhile 🙏

I just wanted to share that having won a national Woman Who Achieves award earlier this year, I am now a FINALIST for the national solopreneur awards! 🏆

To say I am absolutely blown away by this is an understatement.

Nothing to do with acupuncture but I couldn’t let International Dog Day pass without celebrating my little fur baby 🐶

It’s particularly poignant as I’m away in Corfu with my family at the moment and missing little Ellie really badly. She’s a 5 year old toy cavapoo but I can rest knowing that she’s in very safe hands and being reunited with her will make returning from holiday in a week that little bit easier.

So here’s to all of the dogs in our life 🐶🥰

A bottle of champagne and a lovely surprise from an 80 year old patient.

She had been dismissed by her GP practice on many occasions because apparently back pain is ‘normal’ at that age! After a short course of acupuncture this lovely lady is now pain free for the first time in over 6 years and able to return to the things she enjoys such as walking and gardening.

Nobody’s pain should ever be dismissed no matter what their age. Contact me to find out how acupuncture could help with your pain symptoms.
