Tan done. Body exhausted. Mind drained. One hour of sleep ahead.

But none of that mattered.
Because there’s nothing more fulfilling than setting a goal, committing to it, and seeing it through.
The work was done. This was the reward.

Got a strength goal I’m working towards but I’m not chasing a PB every week (like I see a lot of people do).

Maxing out constantly just fatigues your muscles and your nervous system.

Training with slightly less weight, in different formats, lets you control bar speed, create manageable tension, and actually grow stronger faster.

Do cold plunges kill your gains? ❄️💪

Short answer: not if you use them right.
Cold exposure improves insulin sensitivity, boosts thermogenesis, supports recovery, and can even help you train harder from session to session.

BUT timing matters.
If you’re chasing hypertrophy, avoid plunging immediately after lifting, it can blunt some of the adaptive signalling you want.

Best times to cold plunge:
❄️ On rest days
❄️ After cardio
❄️ A few hours away from your lifting sessions

Cold done correctly = more energy, better recovery, better consistency.
