Your friends and family are always welcome at Cameron House, and we encourage their involvement in daily life and events at the home. Our clean and pleasant lounges offer an excellent environment for you to socialise with fellow residents and families. Each day you will find a choice of freshly prepared meals catering for all dietary needs. Cameron House Care Home is looking to recruit a Bank Kitchen Assistant to support our catering team in providing nutritious, high-quality meals for our residents. This is a flexible, bank role ideal for someone looking for ad-hoc shifts.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with food preparation and meal service

Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and dining areas

Wash and store kitchen equipment and utensils

Follow food safety, health & hygiene regulations at all times

Work as part of a friendly and supportive team

What We’re Looking For

A positive, reliable and hardworking attitude

Ability to work well within a team

Basic understanding of kitchen hygiene and safety

Flexibility to work shifts including weekends

Experience in a kitchen environment is desirable but not essential (training provided)

All of the staff at Cameron House are extremely proud to be supporting The Boo Banter Foundation by being a collection point for their campaign to collect toys for the children of Basildon Hospital 🧸πŸͺ€ Lovely to meet Brandon and his team today and hear his story, Very inspiring πŸ’›

A huge thank you to the lovely staff at Cameron House Care Home for being a drop off point for our toy drive.
We were overwhelmed when we arrived today to collect our 2nd pickup 🀩
A huge thank you to Georgia Mayland-Walsh for spreading the word, and collecting money and presents from her mums work colleagues.

And thank you to local charity BOBBYS BIG HEART πŸ’™ who have generously donated a HEAP of toys! Their donation alone was a van loadπŸ₯Ή

Also last but not least, thank you to Sylvie Allen, May Darke, Mandy Gillatt, Lois Bartley and all the other people who have been popping in, and dropping off gifts.

I think we better get a bigger van (or two)
