Position: Deputy Manager for Christian Care Homes

Report to: Registered CQC Manager (Beech House).

Location: Christian Care Homes – Beech House, Basildon; Cedar House, Stanford Le Hope & Domiciliary Care, Thurrock
Hours: 40 Hours per week (Plus on-call duties for all Care Homes and domiciliary services.

Salary: Negotiable based on experience

Contract: 12 months with the view to extend to a Permanent Post

Qualification: NVQ Level 4 in Health & Social Care or related nursing qualifications. Working to level 5

Experiences: Minimum 5 Years experience in Residential settings for elderly people living with dementia.

DESCRIPTION:
Due to re-organisation of the care services, Christian Care Homes is looking to recruit an experienced Deputy Manager to assist in overseeing the running, general care management and clinical matters of its residential homes and domiciliary for the elderly suffering from physical, psychological and emotional disorders. The persons appointed must possess a full British driving license (without convictions/ points), a motor vehicle and able to respond and work flexibly in all the services.

Christian Care Homes is looking for a person who can instigate, develop, implement and support the Registered Manager to lead new and exciting opportunities and initia-tives for elderly people with dementia in the homes.

The deputy in the absence of the Managers must be able to lead and nurture their team of trained and qualified care staff following the concept of β€˜My Home Life’ and have direct overall responsibility for writing person-centred care plans to meet the needs of the service users efficiently and effectively.

As Deputy, you must be willing to undertake on call duties for all the services, com-municate effectively, be flexible, use your initiative, be caring, able to work under pressure, have good leadership skills, prioritise workloads, supervise staff and identify staff training needs. You need to be experienced in managing individuals and teams and be able to build strong partnerships with all our stakeholders and statutory bod-ies. It is essential that you are computer literate and be able to use a wide range of hardware and software.

The Deputy will oversee the management of the services in the absence of the Man-ager. As Deputy Manager, you must be conversant with all related Health & Social Care Fundamental Standards, Legislation, Health & Safety issues and be able to comply with CQC regulations in providing a high quality of care to all our service us-ers and use research based information.
