As we countdown to the 2026 TCS London Marathon begins, we’re proud to spotlight some of the incredible individuals taking on the challenge in support of St. Luke’s Hospice.

Today we're excited to introduce Izzy, who is running in memory of her grandad, Ray.

“I’m running the London Marathon 2026 for St, Luke’s Hospice in memory of my Grandad, Ray Mitchell — my best friend and biggest supporter. We sadly lost him to pancreatic cancer in August 2023, and during his final weeks he was cared for with such compassion by the amazing team at St. Luke’s Hospice.”

We’re delighted to share some wonderful photos from our Corporate International Women’s Day Afternoon Tea at Stock Brook Country Club which took place on Friday 6th March.

The afternoon was a great success, with over 125 guests and inspiring speakers including our CEO, Eileen Marshall, Chris Sansom, Emma Marns, Lavena Babbs and Lana Lee, plus our host for the day Sarah Gilsenan. Lara Luu performed songs dedicated to people who inspired members of the audience and there was fantastic support from stall holders and sponsors. We’re very grateful to all those who joined us, donated, and shared their inspiring stories.

Meet Katie, our Strictly St. Luke’s dancer paired with professional dancer, Louise.

“In 2024, one of my dearest friends passed away after a very short illness. He was only 41, with so many plans he never got to fulfil. After losing him, I made a promise to myself to start saying “yes” to the opportunities that came my way — to live a little louder, braver and fuller, because he no longer can.”

“So when Strictly St Luke’s came up, how could I possibly say no?

“Mike would have been there on the night, cheering me on. St. Luke’s does incredible, compassionate work for people like him and their families, and if I can do even a small thing to support them, then it’s absolutely worth it.” - Katie

After weeks of rehearsals with their professional partners, our dancers are nearly ready to shine. Join us on Saturday 21st March at the Brentwood Centre as they perform live at Strictly St. Luke’s, with our host former Strictly Come Dancing professional, Ian Waite, who is also taking to the dancefloor with two showcase performances.

From March 2nd–7th, our St. Luke's Hospice Shops are celebrating World Book Day by offering every child a FREE book to take home and enjoy.
