MiniChefs is an after school cooking club for children aged from 6 years old based in Langdon Hills. I’m Michelle, a Mum to twin girls, Ava & Amelia.
You can also order a monthly baking kit to be delivered to you or someone as a gift. MiniChefs Club is an after school cooking club based from my home in Langdon Hills for all children from 5 years old. I have a passion for all things in the kitchen and spend a lot of time cooking with my girls. I want to give children the opportunity to learn about food & nutrition in an educational and fun way. I believe learning some basic cooking skills can promote independence and the satisfaction of seeing a finished dish will do wonders for their self-esteem! They won’t even realise they are polishing their numeracy & literacy skills with the counting, measuring and recipe reading! You can also subscribe to a monthly baking delivery. Each month a box will be delivered through your letter box containing all of the dry ingredients, you will just need to add a few extras from your fridge (butter, eggs for example) to complete the bake. Your box comes with a gift and full recipe card to follow. Order via the website at minichefsclub.co.uk

I've been working on the workshop calendar for the rest of the year. I have 4 Halloween specific workshops as well as 2 Saturday morning workshops in October and November before we start the Christmas workshops on Saturday 29th November (these will go live on 1st November)

I have left some space in my diary for private workshops. These are becoming increasingly popular and allow a group of friends to get together and make or bake something they all love. It's a great way to spend 2 hours and gives you some time to spend with other children, or just by yourself whilst you wait for your goods to come home hot and ready to eat. Drop me an email if you would like more information or to secure a date during the Half Term holidays.

🍽️🎉Hello!
I've picked up some new followers recently, so thought I would pop out some information about MiniChefs Club.
It's my aim to run a club where cooking becomes an exciting adventure! The lively classes and monthly Make It Boxes mix fun with education, helping your MiniChefs boost their confidence and numeracy skills while creating delicious meals. Join me for a hands-on learning experience that will make your family's time in the kitchen unforgettable!
10 years ago today I opened the doors to MiniChefs Club 🎈It’s not often that we give ourselves a pat on the back is it? But, today that’s exactly what I’m doing as I’m super proud of myself and my small business. I couldn’t imagine where I would be when I opened the doors for my first lesson on Tuesday 15th Sept 2015. Originally I started with 3 after school club sessions a week. Now, I still have those 3 sessions (which means I have a lot of recipes!) but I also have 10 1:1 lessons a week for Home Educated MiniChefs, workshops on a Saturday morning, birthday parties, school holiday cooking camps, annual Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Skills programmes and this year I’ve started to work with a great company as a consultant for Nutrition within Young Adult with Learning Disabilities Care Homes which is something that I’ve become just as passionate about.
There is also the small matter of keeping my business going during a pandemic; I personally delivered boxes of ingredients which has now turned into the MiniChefs Make It Box.
Now the self indulgence is over, it goes without saying that I couldn’t do any of this without any followers, without any recommendations, without any bookings, without any reviews. I say this on a regular basis, but I truly mean it; I am so grateful for every single person that does any of the above for MiniChefs Club. Over the last 10 years, I have been able to attend every school assembly, every sports day, every parents evening and have been available to take my Twinnies to school every day (which we all know in reality means I just shout at everyone to hurry up every morning!) but, the fact that I have been around to do that rather than travelling to another part of the country with my laptop and files (as I did in a previous life) means the absolute world to me.
I’ve no idea what the next 10 years hold, hopefully they won’t fly by as quickly as the last 10 but I’m super excited for whatever lies in the future.
Happy Birthday MiniChefs Club, you absolute gem! ❤️

Summer Holiday workshops are underway at MiniChefs Club!
Today we made these fun Jungle Jam Jars 😊. A chocolate pudding with green coconut for the grass, some slippery snakes and then amazing palm trees. The MiniChefs took home 4 of these jars for a delish dessert later 😋
Tomorrow morning there is a workshop where we are making doughnuts and a fab 6 year old is having a pizza making party in the afternoon!
I have a few bookings during the holidays where a group of friends are getting together to spend a fun couple of hours in the kitchen baking. If you have thought about a play date but would rather have it elsewhere get in touch! I can have 6 MiniChefs all making and baking, you can stay home and have a coffee (or prosecco?) and then you can all enjoy the fruits of their labour!
Pop me a message below and I’ll send you all the details!

MiniChefs Club has been running since September 2015 and is carried out from a cabin in my garden that has been turned into a kitchen. I start from age 5 for a maximum of 6 children. I supply all aprons, ingredients and take home boxes; the children make everything themselves, from scratch. At the after school club we alternate between a sweet & savoury dish every week; classes start at 4pm and finish at 5.15pm with the food cooked, ready to take home and eat. The after school club is charged at £42.05 per calender month.
As well as the after school club I run themed workshops a Saturday, these are longer at 2.5 hours starting either at 10am or 2pm and priced at £25.00 I have all workshops listed via my events section on the MiniChefs page.
If you would like any further information or would like to come and take a look at the kitchen at anytime, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
