We are a part of the St John Ambulance South West Essex Network! Our Network covers Wickford, Billericay, Basildon and Grays.

Our volunteers provide first aid cover for events, community first aid & youth services

As 2025 Draws to a close, we’d like to take a look at what we have achieved as a Network over 2025.

In 2025 we have officially launched as a network, Supported Neigbouring Networks such as Mid and South East Essex, over 1998 Event hours across the year from events such as Horndon Feast N Fayre to Lakeside Festive cover

In 2025 we also educated 350 Members of the public in how to save a life! Through the use of CPR & AED Training and fundraised for things to support our community and delivered talks to the local WI along with Assisting in Save a Life September

We look forward to where 2026 takes us!

Another Busy weekend for us in south west Essex!

Yesterday Network Event & Operations lead Will joined by First Aider Katie and other emergency responders and an Ambulance Crew was at Lakeside providing support for festive cover!

Today Network Leader Karen, joined by Network Event & Operations lead Will, Sheena and our amazing Cadets was out at Basildon Mind’s Mental Elf Run! Congratulations to all along with First Aider Marion who joined a Paramedic led ambulance crew and other volunteers at Lakeside shopping centre

Last Night Members from South West Essex St John was supporting Your Billericay with their late night light up festive shopping event!

This weekend we were back volunteering out in Lakeside as the start of our Festive Cover! We are about every weekend to the 4th January!

If you see us there feel free to say Hello! We will be based each weekend outside Primark in Carpark 4 if you do need us

Yesterday, Volunteers from across the Network were out in Full force supporting various Remembrance events within the network operating area

Both Adults and cadets were out honouring, commemorating and remembering those who we have lost to conflict who were giving their tomorrow - for our today.

Thank you to all our Volunteers and neighbouring networks volunteers for attending their Local services and for paying their respects.

So today after many hours of assessments ranging from CPR to Recovery Position to slings along with a multiple choice exam yesterday. Our Network Events Lead & Interim Operations lead Will Competed his Emergency Responder course in Cambridge

Congratulations to all who passed as everyone has passed! We now have 2 New Emergency Responders who are now going to be deployed in an Emergency Responder scope to our events!
