What is Tend?
Tend is an innovative mindfulness-based programme delivered through a VR headset (provided by Mind) that immerses you in a calming virtual world.
Designed for low mood and anxiety, it offers mindfulness, breathing exercises, thought awareness, and guided meditations to improve your mood, reduce your stress and manage your anxiety, helping you build practical skills for a better life.

Interested?
- You can start with a free introductory session to get familiar with VR, and see if this is right for you
- Continuing the course costs just £25 per session, with each weekly session taking place at - Basildon Mind at a time that best suits you.

The Fellas' Forum was created by and is a monthly meet up for men. The forum regularly incorporates physical activity throughout the year, participating in activities outdoors such as fishing, gardening, community allotments, BBQs, and ‘walks and talks’. It's a great place to connect and have a chat.

Monthly forums take place across Essex including Basildon. Depending on what the group is doing, the exact location for each session varies within the local area.

Wellbeing Walking Groups - Enid's Experience

When Enid joined one of our walking groups in September 2021, she was new to the area and looking to meet people and improve her fitness.

Since then, the weekly walks with Basildon Mind have helped her feel more connected, supported, and part of the community 💚

Within the group she “feels she can talk about anything”, “is listened to”, and “has a sense of inclusion” — all while meeting new people along the way.

NEW WELLBEING WALK !!
Starting this Saturday.

We are very excited to announce a new monthly Wellbeing Walk in partnership with Essex Wildlife Trust

This walk will run once a month (Every 4th Saturday of the month). The funded walks will be led by an Essex Wildlife Trust Ranger who will point out and speak about the local wildlife and nature reserve. A Basildon Mind counsellor will support the walk.

- 75 Minute Walk led by Ranger
- Followed by 45 minutes of refreshments and chat at the Langdon Nature Reserve Discovery Park.

The first walk is to take place this Saturday at 10am at Langdon Nature Discovery Park, Lower Dunton Road, Basildon, Essex, SS16 6EJ.

We look forward to seeing you there : )

Looking for a friendly way to boost your wellbeing this Spring? 🚶‍♀️🌿

Our Weekly Wellbeing Walking Groups are open to everyone – just turn up! Whether you’d like some fresh air, gentle exercise, or the chance to meet supportive, like-minded people, our walks are a great way to look after your mental health.

Led by our qualified walk leaders and supported by our talking therapist, these relaxed walks take place across the week in Basildon, Wickford and Billericay

Walks run:
• Monday – Billericay (10:30)
• Tuesday – Basildon (18:30)
• Wednesday – Pitsea / Basildon (alternating, 10:30)
• Thursday – Wickford (10:30)
• Friday – Pitsea (10:30)

No booking needed – just come along and join us. Everyone is welcome.
