Super proud of my Daughter Olivia and all the Nova Stem Racing team. After winning the Regional competition they came second in yesterday’s National finals - winning fastest car & best engineered car!!!

A massive achievement and this provides them with an entry to the World Finals in Singapore later this year - which for a lot of reasons they may not be able to attend (GCSE’s & cost being the main two) but to qualify is AWESOME!

Sarah - one of our practitioners at The Tuckwell Osteopathic Practice. Sarah is highly skilled at cranial osteopathy too!

Sarah is a member of the Wellbeing team for the Ark Cancer charity and has worked in health care for over 20 years, working in both her own clinic and with a variety of other medical professionals.

She is a Medical Acupuncturist qualified in Western Medical Acupuncture and member of the British Medical Acupuncture Society, with additional training in palliative care. She is also a qualified Osteopath and has been registered with the General Osteopathic Council since 2002.

Sarah brings a wealth of experience having taught at the Surrey Institute of Osteopathic Medicine as a technique and clinic tutor and previous experience working for the NHS and South Central Ambulance Service as frontline ambulance crew.

Bringing a supportive, empathetic and caring approach. She thrives on helping people and is passionate about improving their quality of life.

Poor mental health worsens MSK symptoms. MSK pain contributes to depression & anxiety.

Yet these issues are rarely treated together.

This , let’s change that and treat the whole person.

Today is World Heart Day.

Recently, Cllr Copeland, Cllr Kinge, Cllr Nabbs and Cllr Myall attended defibrillator and CPR training organised by Hook & Odiham Lions Club as part of their "Heartsafe Community" Project. The training defibrillator was supplied free of charge by WEL Medical Limited. The Councillors, along with others, learnt how to use a defibrillator and basic CPR Training. Cllr Copeland said “It was a really positive training session and I learnt so much. It was a real eye-opener as to how valuable defibrillators are, and everyone should know where their nearest one is. I am so pleased I attended”.

The Parish Council own 3 Defibrillators that are accessible 24/7 and are checked on a weekly basis.

These are located :
• Grand Parade by the Mosaic near the Post Office (Grand Parade, Station Road, RG27 9HF )
• On the side of Hook Community Centre by the Squash Courts (Raven Road RG27 9NN)
• Holt Park Housing Estate, by the roundabout (Felders Mede, RG27 9TX)

A list and map of all of the defibrillators in the village (there are 10) are shown here https://www.defibfinder.uk/ . Not all are available 24/7

Should you need a defibrillator, please dial 999 and the ambulance service will direct you to the nearest one and provide you with the code to access it. Speed is of the essence. The quicker you can start CPR, the greater the chance you have to save the patient.

On 25th July 2026, I’ll be joining 49 fellow practitioners from The Academy of Physical Medicine for an unforgettable tandem skydive at Sibson Aerodrome, near Peterborough!
The aim is to raise as much money as possible for Medical Detection Dogs, who do such a fabulous job of training our canine friends to help with all sorts of medical conditions: diabetic emergencies, epilepsy - even cancer.
