Physiologically, strength & fitness don’t improve during training. Training is the stimulus & the real progress comes during recovery- when your body repairs muscle tissue, restores glycogen & strengthens neuromuscular pathways you’ve just stressed.

The same applies in rehab. Tissues need the right amount of load to stimulate healing, but not too much that it slows recovery or re-injures. It’s a balance of stress & repair.

When you keep piling unnecessary sessions, reps & exercises without enough recovery, you’re not speeding’s things up. You’re interrupting that adaptation cycle.

Doing less,
At the right time,
Is doing more.

First marathon loading… & she’s doing it while fundraising for Oxfam GB 💫

She’s put in the hard work, navigated a little knee pain along the way, but with some sports massage & simple physio advice, she’s now back to her usual training plan feeling strong again!

So pleased to see her moving comfortably and building those miles back up with confidence 💪🏼🏃🏻‍♀️

Gentle movement, lighter sessions, showing up tired, slow, or unmotivated- it all adds up.

Consistency is what turns exercise into a habit, not how hard you go every time. Some days you push, some days you move… both matter. Keep showing up. Your body remembers 💪🏼✨
