Shopmobility Basingstoke will be at the ever-popular Basingstoke Festival of Transport on Sunday 10th May 2026 from 8am, so why not come along and perhaps hire one of our mobility scooters. To guarantee availability, you can call us on 01256 476 066 and reserve a scooter in advance of the day.

To find us at the festival, we will be signposted as to our location when entering Crossborough Hill. The hire cost will be £15.00 on the day, and there will be limited availability.

Did you know that as well as mobility scooters, wheelchairs and rollators, we also hire out power- assisted manual wheelchairs? This addition takes all of the effort out, and is a great help to those who may struggle with pushing and pulling a wheelchair in difficult environments. Whether you want to hire it just for the day to visit the shops, or maybe hire it for taking away on holiday, this could be just what you need. The battery pack is removable for easy charging and the motor can be disassembled easily enough so that the wheelchair can then be folded up to place in the boot of a car. If this is something you'd be interested in trying out then just pop in to see us at our Shopmobility Centre in Church Street, Basingstoke.

Please be aware that there will be some maintenance work carried out within the Shopmobility building throughout a 2 week period commencing on Monday 16th February 2026.

There may be a short delay in dealing with your enquiry, and we apologise in advance for any inconvenience that this may cause.

Our customer toilet may not be available to use during this time; however, we have a staff toilet should you need to use the facilities.

If you would like to enquire about, or reserve a sales item, please send us a private message on Marketplace, and we can provide you with a collection reference code, which will be valid for 7 days after reservation.

The item can be paid for either by cash or by card at the time of collection and you will need to provide the collection reference code at the time of purchase. Our collection address is Shopmobility, Church Street, Basingstoke, RG217QN and our Marketplace opening hours are from 09.00 - 16.00 Monday to Friday and from 09.00 - 15.30 on Saturdays.

Unfortunately, it will not be possible to post sales items to you. Being a small, independent charity, at this time our Marketplace facility has been set up to cater for a pay-on-collection service only.

With the festive season now upon us we need your help to make it extra special for those in need!
​We are looking for enthusiastic Volunteer Gift Wrappers to help us prepare beautiful presents for our annual charity drive. Your time and talent will directly contribute to bringing smiles and joy to children and families this Christmas as well as raising vital funds for Shopmobility Basingstoke.

​Monday 15th December - Friday 19th December.
Monday 22nd December - Wednesday 24th December
(Flexible shifts available)

​Time Slots:
Morning (10 AM - 1 PM) and Afternoon (1 PM - 4 PM)
You can commit to one shift or many!

Location: The Malls (Directly outside the old Wilcos shop)

​We provide all the wrapping supplies so all you need to bring is a willingness to help and a little holiday spirit!

With planned road works affecting lower Church Street throughout the day on Tuesday 4th and Wednesday 5th November, you may experience a short delay in accessing Shopmobility Basingstoke, however, Hampshire Highways have confirmed that access to the road will be permitted for those drivers who wish to visit us.
