Lent begins tomorrow and across our community of food banks our Church partners are connecting with their local communities to encourage donations of food, toiletries and Easter eggs 🌷🌿🐣

If you'd like to reflect with us during this period you can sign up to receive emails that will guide you through Lent, with stories from people who have faced hunger and hardship, to journey in solidarity.

A busy day in the faith and beliefs calendar... lunar new year, shrove Tuesday and the commencement of Ramadan!

Several faith groups will undertake a period of fasting and additional prayer over the coming weeks. In particular, staff and patients of the Bahai, Islamic and Christian faiths may be abstaining from food and/or drink in differing ways. The Bahai 19-Day Fast (no food or drink sunrise to sunset) and Christian period of Lent (limited food) should not affect staff members practicing these fasts whilst on shift. However, our Muslim colleagues and patients may require support to achieve their observances during the Islamic holy month of Ramadan. Look out for helpful information and take a moment to think about how you can encourage and support those around you.
