🌿 Restoring Humanity in Care - The Role of Yoga Therapy🌿

I wanted to share this moving and insightful article from yogatherapy.health, written by Anneke Sips, exploring how yoga therapy is being integrated into psychiatric care.

It’s a beautiful reminder that healing doesn’t always begin with diagnosis or medication - it often begins when we restore humanity, consent, and presence in care.

As a Yoga Therapist, I see these principles at work every day in my own practice - whether that’s supporting people managing chronic pain, anxiety, trauma, or burnout. Yoga therapy offers a space where people can reconnect with their bodies safely and compassionately, building awareness, resilience, and self-trust from the inside out.

What resonated deeply with me from this piece was the emphasis on:
✨ Seeing the person, not the condition
✨ Offering tools for grounding, breathing, and self-regulation
✨ Creating environments where people feel seen and supported - not “fixed”

These are the same foundations I bring to my 1-to-1 yoga therapy sessions, wellbeing coaching, and onsite programmes for care homes and workplaces through Infinite Harmony.

If you’re curious about how yoga therapy can support your health, recovery or workplace wellbeing, I’d love to chat.

Finding Calm Amidst the Fireworks: A Yogic Reflection on Light and Stillness

As the sky bursts into colour tonight, we’re reminded that life, too, can be both brilliant and overwhelming. Bonfire Night holds excitement for many, yet for others the noise and flashes can unsettle body and mind.

In yoga, calm doesn’t mean blocking out the world. It means finding steadiness within it. The practice teaches us to observe the noise without losing our inner quiet. As Patanjali wrote, “Yoga is the stilling of the fluctuations of the mind.”

If the evening feels too loud, try this:
✨ Sit somewhere you feel safe.
✨ Inhale softly for four counts, exhale for six.
✨ Feel your feet grounded, your breath steady, your heart softening.

The fireworks will fade, and calm will return. Within each burst of light is a reminder that peace and brilliance can coexist.

✨ Introducing the new Infinite Harmony logo ✨

It felt like the right time to give the Infinite Harmony brand a little love - and a refreshed visual identity that truly reflects what this space has grown into.

The new logo captures everything Infinite Harmony stands for - connection, balance and the infinite cycles of renewal that flow through life.

At its base lies the infinity symbol, representing the continuous rhythm of life, breath and rebirth.
From it, lotus petals unfold - a timeless symbol of awakening, transformation and the beauty that rises from within.
And at the centre sits a yogi in Padma Mudra - hands open in compassion, symbolising the heart of this practice: stillness, presence and awareness.

Every element holds meaning - a reminder that harmony isn’t a fixed state but a living, breathing process of balancing movement and rest, effort and ease, doing and being.

🌸 Enormous gratitude to:
💫 Ben, who translated my many (and often wafty!) musings about symbolism, mudras and energy into something so elegant and meaningful.
🎨 Maddie, my wonderfully creative daughter, who redrew the final image freehand, adding warmth, humanity and flow.

I couldn’t be prouder of how it’s turned out - and what it represents.
This is Infinite Harmony - a space for connection, healing and mindful living. 🌿

Embracing Rest: How Yoga and Mindfulness Can Replenish Your Energy

As the days shorten and autumn deepens, our bodies and minds naturally crave slower rhythms. 🍂
Rest isn’t doing nothing – it’s an active, nourishing practice. Through breath, mindful movement, and moments of stillness, we replenish what the busyness of life takes away.

In yoga, rest isn’t an afterthought; it’s part of the practice. Each pause between postures, every long exhale, is a chance to return to balance. When we truly rest, we allow the nervous system to settle and the body’s innate wisdom to restore harmony.

As we move into November, take time to notice how your body feels at the end of the day. Could you slow down even a little? Could rest become part of your self-care, not a reward for exhaustion?

If you’d like guidance on finding a rhythm that supports you this season, Embracing Rest: How Yoga and Mindfulness Can Replenish Your Energy is now live on the blog → https://www.infiniteharmony.co.uk/blog-posts/embracing-rest-how-yoga-and-mindfulness-can-replenish-your-energy

✨ May your weekend bring you warmth, stillness, and a deep breath of calm.
