Perimenopause is one of the three stages of menopause. It’s when menopause symptoms start but your periods haven’t stopped.
For many women, these symptoms can affect daily life – from energy and mood to relationships and work.
They can also start earlier for some, which is why recognising the signs and getting support matters.
Menopause will now be part of routine NHS health checks – offered every 5 years to eligible adults aged 40 to 74 – for the first time. By including tailored questions about menopause, more women will be able to get the support they need to manage their symptoms.

**Practice Closed for Training Afternoon - 14th October**

We will be closed for part of the day on Tuesday 14th October to allow clinical and non-clinical staff to take part in mandatory training. This training is essential to ensure that staff across North and Mid Hampshire stay up to date with best practice, new guidelines, and the skills needed to provide the best possible care for patients.

During this closure, medical cover will be provided by NHS 111. If you need urgent care on this day, please call 111 and you will be directed to the right service.

For life-threatening emergencies, you should still call 999.

TARGET is a scheme that brings our Primary Care workforce together to learn new skills, hear about new treatments and share good practice and is organised by the Hampshire and Isle of Wight ICB.

We thank you for your understanding and support while our teams take this important time to train.
