Need to take a leaf out of their books, excuse the pun. 😉
📚✏️ Screens out. Books back in.
Schools in Sweden are scaling back digital-first teaching and returning to more traditional learning methods — reading from physical books and writing by hand with pencil and paper.
After years of heavy screen use in classrooms, Swedish education authorities say basic skills like reading comprehension, handwriting, and focus suffered when tablets and laptops were overused — especially in younger grades.
So now, the shift:
• More printed textbooks
• More handwriting
• Less screen time in early education
This isn’t a total ban on technology — digital tools are still used where they make sense — but the focus is back on fundamentals first.
Sometimes progress isn’t about more tech.
It’s about knowing when to go back to basics.
