Ever wondered if your gut could be influencing your eczema? 🌱

The gut microbiome is a huge factor in immune regulation, inflammation, and even the compounds in your blood that impact skin health.

A high-quality test can move you from guessing to knowing, and help focus on what truly matters for calmer skin.

These are some of the most common food-related patterns I see in clinic — and the good news is, they’re fixable.

If you’ve tried changing your diet but your eczema still feels unpredictable, it’s often not about trying harder — it’s about understanding what’s really going on beneath the surface.

I know you probably don’t have time for another webinar — especially if it turns out to be a glorified sales pitch.

So if you’re wondering whether my upcoming eczema webinar is worth your time, you might be asking:
• Will this actually help me, or just add more to my to-do list?
• Will it be useful, or just a sales pitch?
• Is this something I should focus on right now?

Living with eczema can feel exhausting — and you’re not alone.
I asked our community what the hardest part is, and the answers were clear: not knowing triggers, feeling out of control, and the impact on confidence and mood.

The good news? Eczema can improve when we stop guessing and start understanding what’s happening inside the body.

I’ll be showing exactly how in my free webinar on 12 February — practical steps to calm inflammation, uncover triggers, and feel back in control of your skin.

The gut–skin axis refers to the two-way communication between the gut microbiota and the skin.

In eczema, gut health is central. Dysbiosis, reduced microbial diversity and low short-chain fatty acid production (especially butyrate) are all commonly seen.

Fibre-rich foods, probiotics and fermented foods can help restore microbial balance and improve symptoms.

📅 I’m teaching it live on 12 February

Many people notice eczema flare-ups linked to certain foods commonly dairy, wheat, eggs or soya.

These reactions are often sensitivities rather than true allergies and can be influenced by gut barrier integrity and immune balance.

Prolonged elimination diets in young children may increase the risk of severe allergic reactions, so care must be taken when removing foods.

In clinic, comprehensive food sensitivity testing can help remove guesswork and avoid unnecessary restriction.

This is something I’ll explain more clearly in my webinar.

Most eczema isn’t just a skin problem it’s immune and gut driven.

If steroid creams really fixed eczema, you wouldn’t still be struggling.

Common reasons eczema keeps coming back include:
• Ongoing immune activation
• Gut imbalance
• Inflammation not being addressed

I’m running a free webinar on calming eczema from the inside out.

When I tell people I’m a Nutritional Therapist, they often imagine I:
🥦 Ban chocolate
🥗 Remove all “fun” food
📋 Hand out terrifying meal plans

None of that is true!!

Because what I actually do is help the body work better — so symptoms calm down naturally, without extremes or turning your life upside down.

I look at digestion, gut bacteria, immunity, hormones, inflammation and skin as one connected system.
Your microbiome is as unique as your fingerprint.
Every hormone has to be broken down properly.
Every molecule of food has a pathway.

And no — there is no food shaming, no perfection, and chocolate is very much still allowed 🍫

I’ve written a blog explaining exactly what happens in a Nutritional Therapy consultation — how we use science, testing and personalised plans to help people finally feel better.

If you’ve ever wondered what I actually do behind the scenes, I think you’ll really enjoy this:

If you’re living with eczema, you might have been told “you have to live with it”.

But that story is incorrect!

I loved studying and learning about how nutrition can help health issues, from mental health, menopause, immune system and digestive health… the list goes on as the science of nutrition grows and grows.

Where my passion lies though is in the skin. Our skin is very much affected by the nourishment we give it through the food we eat, directly and indirectly.

By this I mean the nutrients we eat can directly feed our skin cells, but they can also affect our liver health, our gut microbiome and our immune system, all vital for skin health.

Come and learn more about how what you eat can impact your skin, and how eczema can be soothed by nourishing your skin cells.
