Emergence & Birthday Celebrations ✨

I am emerging, slowly, from a Christmas of deliciously wonderful silence and January hibernation, enticed out of my shell by birthday celebrations 🎈 The prospect of cake was what did it, as well as the opportunity for a bit London madness!

The cake - well I must say, I outdid myself. A truly wonderful experiment of caramelised, coconutty sponge, deep and rich with flavour and love that thankfully all worked out - for me and for those sharing it! 💝

And now as we shed the last layers of this snake energy, I’m beginning to feel the sparkle and speed of the fire horse, as we enter this new energy and year. I’m excited for what’s to come and excited to share more about what’s been brewing inside me for a long time but not quite ready to be birthed into the world. The waiting process and unknowing has been excruciating but I feel strongly that this is the year for that birthing, in a way that feels so deeply aligned and steady.

I’m sure many of you can resonate with this.

And what’s so clear is that this is not a year for forcing or pushing. It is a year for allowing.

A year to allow all those years of deep inner work come to fruition. A year to hold nothing back but to find a new rhythm in authenticity, our life’s desires and that which we have come here to do.

Allowing and flowing. Fire horse here we come! 🔥🦄 🩵

Earlier this year, I began hosting a women’s circle at my home in Bath, a deeply safe and nourishing space to connect, share and receive healing. Over time, a beautiful gathering of women has unfolded, some of whom I already know, others I am meeting for the first time, but all with the willingness to explore something new and the courage to be seen and held. I feel deeply honoured to hold this space ❤️

And now, I’m opening up a similar opportunity for my online community, in all your various far flung locations - a monthly meditation and healing circle, open to both men and women, and to all who feel called to gather in presence, connection and healing ✨

A reflection of our relationship to life, as a reflection of our way of being.

Our relationships with work, money, food, connection, purpose, truth and safety, with life, all tell a story.

What are these aspects of life inviting you to see about yourself?

As children, we operate from survival, unconsciously asking ourselves, ‘what do I need to do in order to be safe, to belong, to be loved?’. And from here, we develop behaviours that may have helped us survive at the time, but don’t necessarily help us thrive later in life.

But when we can see this, a space starts to open. These adopted identities that have become our norm begin to loosen, and a more spacious, true way of being can begin to emerge.

Safety, connection & belonging

The 3 threads of human being.
These are not just ‘good’ feelings that come and go, they’re the conditions that allow a human being to survive, develop and thrive.

When I look at this photo of me at 3 yrs old, I bow down to the journey she’s been on. Following trauma in the womb when my mum was 7 months pregnant, I now understand the deep panic I experienced as a young child, the perceived sense of unsafety and disconnect from the get-go, whereby I literally couldn’t feel my mothers heart and the safety of her connection.

Before we even learn to speak, our bodies are already asking
Am I safe?
Am I connected?
Do I belong?

When the answer is no, learning, creativity, and intuition literally shut down.

Safety is the ground we stand on that allows for connection.
Connection is how we regulate.
Belonging is the feeling, I am allowed to be here, just as I am.

All three are essential as the foundation of our wellbeing.

In today’s world there is such a hunger for deeper connection and sense of belonging, perhaps because we’ve drifted so far from being able to feel the very intelligence of life that holds us.

But this hunger carries a wisdom, the wisdom of the nervous system remembering what it was designed for.

The soul recognising what it came here to experience - deep and intimate connection with ourselves, with others and with life.

It is from this place of deep connection that we experience more presence, playfulness, joy, creativity and all the deliciousness that life has to offer.

Over the last couple of years, my work has been in transition, moving from the role of Nutritionist / Naturopath, which felt like it had become an identity that needed to be let go, into an inter weaving of facilitation, coaching and energy work that is all about connection.

But I also see how everything that came before was also necessary for me to able to offer the space that is here now and to take others to a place where they can meet the deepest parts of themselves, the shadows and the jewels ✨

A warm welcome to all the new and existing faces who land here. Thank you for being here 🙏

I wanted to share, through the carousel above, the essence of my work, the work that moves through me in service to others.

Like many, the last few years have been a wild ride of transitions, dismantling old identities and structures, immersing in new trainings, and navigating a rapidly changing world and frequencies! It’s a quite a time to be alive 😳

For me, this had unfolded into a new way of working. I officially closed the doors to my Nutrition practice last Dec 24’, but I continue to support others through food, especially in healing our relationship with food and the body, now woven in with the spiritual and energetic through Energy Healing and Maturation Coaching.

The Angels entering my life was one of the biggest gifts ever, and since then I’ve trained as a certified Angelic Energy Healer, deepening my connection to spirit and opening up as a channel. This will be a lifelong journey, I expect! 🧚‍♀️

I also trained as a BodyMind Maturation Coach through The Alchemy of Being with , profound journey of experiencing how our past is continually shaping our present until we learn to see and feel it with conscious awareness.

Now weaving together Maturation Coaching, Energy Healing, and deep Food Wisdom, Im excited for the next chapter and to share these offerings with you all 💛

Connection to Earth 🍂

Sometimes I wonder what on Earth it’s all about.
Some days filled with beauty and abundance,
Others stark and dull.
As I stand here on the Earth and look towards her, I ask, who on Earth am I?

But who is the one asking?
Is it the familiar ‘me’ who carries the stories of old,
The ‘me’ born out of the confusion of a child?
Or, is it the one who stands beyond the stories and already knows exactly who she is?

Stuck in story or standing beyond it,
The shift in perception comes and goes, often quick, like a flash of light.
But with that shift, my whole world changes.

Once again, I experience the power within,
To create the world around me.

When swallowed by story,
I place my feet on the Earth and draw deep breaths Into my belly.
I call upon her, the Sacred Heart of Holy Mother Earth,
And I wait to feel her pulse beneath me.
Remember who you are, she whispers.

As I breathe into this connection, everything begins to soften,
And in that softening, I see wisdom rise and perception shift.

Over and over and over again, I connect to the Earth and choose to remember who I am.

Winter Solstice ✨ Belonging

To where and to whom do we belong?
Is it a person or place,
The moon or the stars,
Or a galaxy far away?
For many lives this soul has searched,
To where she might belong,
Like a hungry ghost that knows no bounds,
Her searches wander on.
And yet, there comes a time when stillness falls,
In the quiet dark of midnight skies,
Where guided by the stars alone,
We turn to face the space inside;
This space inside we know so well,
From the where the answers rise,
And there it ends this endless search,
In this place where belonging resides.

Reflecting recently on my own sense of belonging, these words tumbled through me, as I was gently reminded that belonging is already inside of us.

Somehow, we all long to belong to someone, something, or somewhere, and Christmas is often a time that can put our sense of belonging into question, as we navigate family dynamics and social gatherings.

But the truth is we were born belonging. It is only through the fog of our human confusions and mis-perceptions that we simply forget that belonging is already here!

Soul home ✨

There are some places in this world that feel so much like home. A feeling deep in your bones that you have walked this land many times before and every time you go back another layer is shed, another piece revealed, and you leave once again somehow different. It may not always be easy but in this land of beauty and nature, there is a profound trust that whatever needs to be released will be washed away in the waves, creating space for what is yet to come ❤️

Love Language ❤️

We all have a different love language, a way in which we love to give and receive, and mine is unquestionably food! No surprises there 😉

There are others too, I love flowers and beautiful artwork, and thoughtful acts that let me know someone is thinking about me, but really my core love language is food!

When I prepare food for others, it is an expression of love and creativity that brings me so much joy, and I believe that others feel that love in the food 💛

Today I had the pleasure of creating lunch for a friend who really needed to receive and feel loved, and in doing so we both felt deeply nourished.

At the end of September, I’ll be reading running my cleanse and nourish 3-day retreat, a beautiful opportunity to experience how we can use food to both deeply cleanse and nourish the body, and I’m not talking about just physically, but also emotionally. How well do we really receive food, and life? How much do we allow ourselves to truly receive at the deepest level? And do we even know what it means to deeply nourish the body?

The Deep Healing Power of a Cleanse Day 💚

I love to dedicate at least one day a week to focusing my diet around fruits and vegetables only, with no dense proteins or fats. Over time, I have found this practice to be invaluable, not only for my overall health, but also my relationship with food and my mind, as it helps to create so much space. This spaciousness gives my digestion a rest, helps me to release attachments to food and habit patterns (even the good ones can become an attachment!), creates stillness in my body, allows for emotions and insights to rise, and enables me to appreciate my food with more appetite.

There are different ways to do a cleanse day and you can choose what works for you. When the weather is warmer, I tend to focus on juices and smoothies with a soup in the evening, while in the colder weather, I make sure to have more warming foods. Sometimes I do liquid only days, and sometimes I do more chomping days, but always with the focus on fruits and vegetables only. Sometimes I continue this for 2-3 days and then I really feel start to feel the deeper benefits and a deeper letting go within me.

This is one of the most beautiful tools you can turn to, especially if you feel stagnant from overindulging, need to create space from food emotionally, or feel yourself starting to flare with symptoms of any kind, whether it’s a cold or flu, or long term health issues. Just one day alone of gentle but nourishing cleansing is deeply deeply powerful.

Here’s a little glimpse of what my day today looked like:
On waking: 1 litre of lemon water & ginger
9am: 800ml (32oz) pure celery juice
12pm: 1 whole melon blended
3pm: liver rescue smoothie ( recipe)
6pm: creamy cauliflower & beetroot soup
7.30pm: Apple slices

Letting go of old ways

Over cups of tea and chats, I’ve been in deep discussion as to why our food habits can be so hard to break, even when you know deep down, or even on the surface, that a particular way of doing is not serving you. My own experience of this is that our attachments to food run deep - food is mother, nourishment, intimacy and survival, and the foods or eating patterns we find hardest to let go of are the ones that keep us held together, so to speak. When you begin to change the food and eating habits, suddenly it can bring to the surface feelings you might not want to feel, memories of old, trauma, and a sense that your very survival is being threatened.

In energetic terms, foods sit on a scale of yin to yang, expansive to contractive, with foods / drinks such as sugar, coffee and alcohol being the most expansive. These substances keep us lifted and high, while on the other side of the scale are the contractive foods like eggs, cheese, salt and meat. These foods are great at keeping the body in a contracted state. In our modern world, most people swing between these two extremes, keeping themselves stuck and high at the same time.

When you begin to eat in the middle, consuming fruits, vegetables, herbs, spices, wild foods, pulses, whole grains and small amounts of animal foods, the body begins to loosen, but with the loosening can come a torrent of emotion and cravings that many people find hard to handle.

In this way, food is so powerful. It is a signpost to where we hold on emotionally, and to where our imbalances lie.

When I’m working with clients, looking at how and what they eat is a doorway into knowing them on a deeper level. And by presencing this to them, it helps them to see too.

Food is a doorway to much deeper layers of healing when we allow it to be ❤️

Cleanse & Nourish 3-Day Immersive Retreat 🌸

I’m so excited to be running this retreat immersion at the end of September at a most beautiful venue in Dorset set around a wildflower garden.

This will be a unique experience bringing together for the first time all the various approaches to health and healing that have so deeply served my own journey and nutrition practice over the last fifteen years (yikes I feel old as I write that 😱), including the art of cleansing and nourishing in daily life, naturopathic practices and the five elements, and how to use these approaches practically in daily life.

There will be meditation and movement, medicine making, beautiful food, time to decompress and more.

September is such a beautiful and powerful time to cleanse, as the body is just so ready to release and let go of the summers accumulations, the energy of fire, and create space to turn inward as we move into autumn and beyond.
