These classes are aimed at people who have at least 3 years of yoga experience and would like to deepen their knowledge, not only of pranayama but how yoga philosophy can be realised though practice.

Emotional excitement affects the rate of breathing; equally, deliberate regulation of the breathing checks emotional excitement. As the very object of yoga is to control & still the mind, the yogi first learns Pranayama to master the breath. This will enable him to control the senses & so reach the stage of Pratyahara (to bring the senses under control). Only then will the mind be ready for Dhyana (concentration).
