Sacred & Compassionate Ceremonies

Sacred & Compassionate Ceremonies Welcome to Sacred & Compassionate Ceremonies; a spiritual home of heart led ceremony, ritual, healing, love, warmth & laughter. I loved those years.

Ceremonies to reflect your authentic self or your person.
✨❤️✨❤️✨ I am very proud of my Bristolian roots; I was born at the old Southmead Hospital, lived & worked locally in North Bristol for many years. I cared for my brother who had Downs Syndrome & learning disabilities alongside my young family and work, until the end of his life in 2019. I have a long career in care, mostly working in services for adults with learning disabilities often with challenging, complex medical and physical support needs. I followed this working as a Freelance Advocate for adults with care and support needs; varying from acquired brain injury, learning disability, parents in child care proceedings and those living with dementia. I worked at Southmead Hospital for 8 years as the Hospital Carer Liaison Worker, supporting family carers to navigate treatment pathways for the person they cared for, liaise with health professionals and plan towards discharge pathways. I am unsure at what point in my life, my interest in officiating funerals and weddings arrived, I noted it and the seeds were sewn over many years I do believe of working with so many amazing people and supporting them with critical care, ED admissions & end of life. I trained to be an Interfaith Minister/Celebrant with the Onespirit Interfaith Foundation in 2021 completing an in-depth & rich enquiry of two years training into spiritual development & interfaith ministry training. This involved deep healing, a committed practice of inner growth, sacred practice, deep listening, creating ceremony, crafting rituals and meaningful exploration of many faiths. I now live in Bath, serving the South West for the creation of personalised ceremonies to truly reflect the people you love. If you would like to discuss how we can work together, please do call or message me for a chat. With love & many blessings

We live in blessed times when we remember these gifts 🎁

Thank you Daily Motivation for your gifts each day.

At some point in life, happiness stops feeling like excitement.

And quietly begins to feel like peace.

Like choosing to stay home without guilt.
Protecting your energy instead of constantly explaining yourself.
Understanding that rest is not weakness, but wisdom.

For a long time, many of us believed happiness had to be loud.
Big achievements. Constant movement. Endless strength.

But maturity quietly reshapes that definition.

Happiness starts to appear in gentler places.

In small victories no one applauds.
In saying no when your heart needs space.
In forgiving yourself for what you did while simply trying to survive.

Sometimes nothing outside changes.

And yet, something inside finally softens.

Perhaps happiness is not about becoming someone new.

Perhaps it is realizing
that after everything you have faced,
you no longer need to prove anything.

Only to live
with more truth,
more balance,
and a deeper sense of peace within yourself.

Life is lifey….
Birds are birding…
Trees are treeing…

Three statements I have heard from mates this last week, modern & truly reflective of what’s happening.

Made me smile and step out into the beautiful sunshine we have been blessed with today ✨☀️✨🩵✨🩵

I had the most beautiful experience with the source, the divine, god, spirit today during a guided meditation this morning.

Whichever name I choose to describe this divine connection, LOVE is what I felt.

Amongst the stillness, I was met with golden light and this grew within me from my crown to my roots.

It was quite an incredible feeling, one I have been very fortunate and blessed to experience before, and one I truly welcomed today.

I didn’t make it to the invited landscape.

I found myself divinely connected within this golden light and most content to remain there. It was truly very difficult to leave to when called back to the room.

Of course I can return another time, within another connection of people or through my own meditation practice.

Today reminded me that all is well.

I am enough.

I am love ❤️

Last day of February 2026, how is this possible?

As I move forward into March with a daily writing ✍️ pilgrimage with fellow women pilgrims.

I note my personal hopes of being inspired to pull together the many thoughts I have around writing a book about my life of being Buddies sister & carer this year.

Of course since I first had these initial thoughts when he was alive, many other inspirational siblings & carers have told their own incredible stories.

There’s still time for ours and this appears to be the year I start to feel into this.

March also holds great excitement as I start working with a most adorable couple who have chosen me as their wedding celebrant for July ✨💖✨

I give thanks for all that February has brought my way, with gratitude and love ❤️

My open heart awaits the gifts of March 🌼🎉🙏🌼✨🙏

Signs…

We don’t have to be ready to embrace all that is moving through us at this time.

We can notice the signs if we choose too.

We can give thanks for their presence in that moment.

Feel blessed for any shift in energy this may release.

We can be left feeling that we may still need to be hibernating or wintering for a while longer, that’s absolutely fine too.

Whatever it is your body feels drawn to give yourself love & comfort, may you find the movement within to do so ✨💖✨

Embrace life when you are ready, see the beauty in nature that shows up day after day to lift our souls and change our vibration.

Go at your own speed as we OPEN up to Spring and all her beauty, there’s no rush …

Awake my soul - Mumford & Sons , one of my most favourite songs. The words move me deeply :-

In these bodies we will live, in these bodies we will die
And where you invest your love, you invest your life
In these bodies we will live, in these bodies we will die
And where you invest your love, you invest your life

Awake my soul
Awake my soul
Awake my soul
For you were made to meet your maker

Beautiful ✨💖✨

Being an interfaith minister / celebrant is one of the most joyous aspects of my life.

I have been reflecting on the training and how I received this and its impact upon me, as it’s been life changing.

There were challenges too, that’s the openness to growth.

It was the best investment of time & learning I have ever GIFTED myself.

The invitation during our training was to explore our personal experiences & deep self reflection through our time line.

This was tender & progressive work, some areas needed more than others and were OPEN to receiving love, kindness , compassion and healing.

Through our peer spiritual accompaniment, sharing circles, rituals and group work this was all witnessed, heard, held and lovingly released.

We were ENCOURAGED to step out of our comfort zones and trust…trust the unfolding of our spiritual journey and GOD, The DIVINE or GREAT MYSTERY…

Stepping into beautifully created natural spaces to share time, holding the space, creating sacredness - divine energy through CEREMONY ✨

Hearing how loved you are is so wonderfully special, it’s a COMPLIMENT yes, but your heart receives this message through immense JOY from being with your tribe.

We often walked in silence one behind the other upon the earth in a semi meditative state listening, tuning in, often in WONDER of mother earths gifts ✨ so much to be in awe of…

We each had an “Angel” too throughout the first and second years of our training, with the intention of wishing us well for the year ahead and being alongside us ( although anonymously)

I have some beautifully written cards with kind words of gratitude, encouragement and COMFORT from my Angel 😇 deeply grateful for their thoughts 💭

My photos don’t really reflect my post, they reflect my joy 🤩

There is something people rarely talk about.

Growth makes you unfamiliar to those who stopped evolving.

Not because you became arrogant.
Not because you changed your essence.

But because your standards matured.
Your tolerance shifted.
Your self respect expanded.

Some will still speak to who you used to be.
Some will expect the same reactions.
The same silence.
The same acceptance.

But evolution is not rebellion.
It is alignment.

And sometimes the quietest sentence carries the most power:

“That no longer represents me.”

I am constantly evolving.
And I am no longer apologizing for that.

I am planning on how to catch up with my as I have been on leave for a week; enjoying being with family, soaking up landscapes, history of Shropshire & Shrewsbury, nature in all its beautiful forms and visiting these beautiful installations in Bristol.

My heart is full ✨💖✨
