At Sulis Hospital, our focus is simple: delivering outstanding healthcare where every patient is treated as an individual, with care tailored to their needs.

We’re proud to be the first fully operational private hospital in the UK wholly owned by an NHS Trust, the RUH Bath.

What does that mean for patients and the community?

All surplus funds generated by Sulis Hospital are reinvested directly back into the NHS - helping to strengthen public healthcare services and increase capacity for NHS patients across our region.

Our Specialist Dr Ashish Bhatia will be appearing on Radio Bath from 10am tomorrow.

He'll be talking all about healthy habits.

Dr Bhatia is an advisor to the British Holistic Medical Association, teaches at Bristol Medical School and trains doctors in a holistic approach to healthcare.

With years of experience in medicine, sleep support, mindset and habit change, he loves empowering people to transform and thrive.

It will be well worth a listen.

This Thursday | 10am–Midday on Radio Bath
Join me, Richard Beauvoisin, as I welcome Dr Ashish Bhatia from Humble to the studio, talking all things healthy habits — why they’re so hard to stick to, and how to actually make them last.
If you’ve ever started something with the best intentions… and quietly let it slide, this one’s for you.

March is Endometriosis Action Month.

This year, the theme is ‘Endometriosis Doesn’t Wait’. Endometriosis doesn’t wait whilst you’re trying to get a diagnosis or access care. It doesn’t wait for your career. Your education. Your social life or your relationships.

A new report by Endometriosis UK shows that the average time to receive a diagnosis is now 9 years and 4 months. For women and those assigned female at birth from communities of colour, it’s even longer at 11 years.

If you're grappling with persistent heavy periods unresponsive to conventional treatments, your medical specialist may propose endometrial ablation.

What is Endometrial Ablation?

Endometrial ablation is a surgical procedure aimed at eradicating (ablating) the inner lining of the uterus (endometrium). The primary objective is to reduce menstrual flow, with some women experiencing a complete cessation of their periods.

Benefits of Endometrial Ablation

For those contending with stubborn heavy menstrual periods that resist standard therapies, endometrial ablation may offer a solution.
