Many thanks to Gavin Smith and his team for hosting the Tom Platz weekend. Which was held at The Barbell Gym in Bathgate, Scotland.
What a great time we had with,
the one and only , Tom Platz.
As you all know, Tom was the Master of High Reps Squats. He took this to the point of true momentary muscular failure.
His impeccable style was forged right from the onset by tuition he received from Olympic Weightlifters. Bolt upright , almost vertical, quad dominant movement, never coming out of line. We must think about the time it takes to perform 20-30 reps. Going through the breaking over point at rep 16.
Consider, the synergistic demand on the whole body, not just the target musculature. This represents the hardest physical work any human can endure.

What a character, a true Living Legend.

A Special Thank You, everyone in Scotland, and even those from Poland, Spain, Ireland, England and Wales, for attending Tom Platz’s Pure Squat Ministry this past weekend. Amazing turnout and intense energy to see this Legend, not only so much loved by our gym, but also by our country, Scotland.

One of the best weekends of my life! I’m sure it was also for so many of you, who attended. Everyone was so grateful, which reflected in the flowing of constant positive energy.

Thank you, Tom Platz, for your intensity, energy, passion and legacy. which you have engraved your QuadFather’s Mark on us forever, even before this event!

And a huge thank you, Dr Cha and PlatZinum Admin, for creating the Tour and making it happen!

Bodybuilding Prep 🐺🏆

Immensely proud to have .training represent the gym at only 18 years old as my first ever prep client with some showing from him brought to the BNBF and the NPA stage. No placing at the Scottish but with a year to still maximise his potential in the Teen category and a Junior Category 1st place at the NPA we are now into an off season to go again next season as his last year as a teen.

His work ethic and focus for his age are things which will carry him so far in this sport. First set of photos are from the start of his prep and the last set are from when he joined the gym at 15 years old (he lied about his age to join the gym 😂 fair play mate). Handled the prep like a real athlete and has spent his time training to justify going on stage at such a young age. Now onto next year 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Means the world to me the trust Elliot had in me to take him to stage without ever prepping someone. Next year we take it up a notch and bring something even better.
