We are recruiting elite female athletes to participate in a research study exploring your mental health experiences, and the protective and promotive factors for your mental health. You will be invited to take part in a two-part semi-structured interview answering questions regarding your mental health experiences throughout your sporting career and within your current environment 🏊‍♀️ 🏄‍♀️ 🏃‍♀️

To be eligible to take part, you must be…
·  Female (she/her)
·  A professional, Olympic, Paralympic or Winter Olympic athlete
·  Aged over 18 years
·  British

It’s amazing what a simple text message can do. Get behind your team members

Supportive regular text messages can help people who have just started exercising to stay motivated.

This is the finding of a study on behaviour change presented today at the British Psychological Society Division of Sport & Exercise Psychology (DSEP) annual conference in Manchester.

The study, undertaken by Florence-Emilie Kinnafick of University of Northampton and Cecilie Thogersen-Ntoumani of University of Birmingham, aimed to examine the impact text messages could have on the exercise levels of novice exercisers. Some sixty-five novice exercisers (sixty women and five men) were allocated to one of two groups. http://buzz.mw/b5cwx_n
