I know from my WildYoga 🌳🌲🍁🍂🌿that many of you are interested in nature and getting out and gaining the benefits of fresh air and connection. Well, have you seen the Andy Goldsworthy Exhibition in Edinburgh yet? I've loved his work since Art College many years ago.
My artist friend Michele and I are collaberating on a workshop bringing our human senses into the natural world to immerse ourselves before creating a piece of land art and looking at ways we can record what we create. See info below if you would like to experience this amazing day!!! ⬇️
LAND ART AND USING OUR SENSES IN THE ENVIRONMENT
Monday 27th October 10am-3pm £65
Held at Beecraigs Country Park, this workshop will provide a new and interesting way of exploring art and nature for anyone who likes to connect with the natural world.

Inspired by artists like Andy Goldsworthy, who is currently exhibiting at the National Gallery of Scotland, I have devised this collaborative workshop with my friend and yoga teacher Sharon Kilgour.
Initially led by Sharon we will take a walk through nature and use all our senses to immerse ourselves in the landscape around us, using mindfulness techniques and stopping to meditate on the natural world as we go. This will open our eyes and minds fully to our surroundings before discussing land art and considering how we can subtly manipulate the natural environment and materials around us to create art. Autumn is the perfect time for this as we can take advantage of the changing colours.
As our creations will be transient and left to return to nature, we will also look at ways of recording them with sketches and photos. We may also look at how we can create marks in our sketchbooks with natural materials.
