Me and Mike Have worked previously in the past back in 2024, where he smashed it back then too, But coming off the back of multiple surgeries and general life getting into the way, he reached back out to get some structure & accountability back in place.

The work ethic from Mike is refreshing to be involved with, He’s a lad that gives everything maximum effort, and the results speak for themselves. He sets his standards high and doesn’t f**k about, a dream client to work with. 🫡

Over last 14 weeks he’s easily had several big social occasions to navigate around, in the past he’d of quiet happily turned these all down, which is great in the short term but in this phase we’ve focused heavy on learning how to navigate round social occasions and not fully avoiding them, this is where 99% of lads fail, most lads won’t start “because they’ve got a lot coming up” I’m sick and tired of people using these excuses to be honest 😂 If you focus on how to forward think and plan ahead you can easily still get in sick shape and enjoy yourself, Mikes the living proof, Just like the majority of my clients!

All through simply nailing a solid training & nutrition program, And that extra accountability working with a coach, and enjoying the process of learning how to eat healthy foods & navigate around social plans on a weekend.👌🏽

He’s set himself up perfectly now with the goal of a gaining phase to really add some quality muscle to his physique, watch this space 🔥

MY TOP 10 FITNESS & NUTRITION TIPS FOR BEGINNERS ⬇️

1. Nobody in the gym is judging how much weight you can lift.
Everyone is too focused on themselves.

2. If you don’t understand something, ask somebody who does.
We were all in your shoes once.

3. Real results take time.
Sometimes a lot of time. Be patient and stop looking for shortcuts.

4. Don’t be embarrassed to log your progress and take photos of yourself.
It will help so much.

5. What you see in the mirror is not what everyone else sees.
You are by far your own worst critic.

6. You can still make progress without the scale moving.
Your weight is just a number, and there are lots of better measures of progress.

7. Focus on using correct form.
Going too heavy at the expense of proper form has absolutely no benefit at all.

8. Tracking macros is a great tool to help you get started and stay on track, but it’s not always necessary.

9. What works for someone else might not work for you.
Do what is best for you.

10. There’s more to life than working out & dieting.
Your fitness journey should be part of your life, but it should not be your entire life.

Punishing yourself keeps the cycle going.
Planning ahead keeps you in control.

One creates guilt.
The other creates momentum.

• Decide your non-negotiables
Pick 1 workout and 1 nutrition habit that must happen. Everything else is a bonus.

• Pre-decide, don’t “wing it”
Know in advance when you’ll train, what you’ll eat and when you’ll drink. Decisions made drunk or tired are always worse.

• Plan your mornings
Train, walk or eat well early. One good morning usually saves the whole weekend.

• Plan the damage, limit the fallout
If you’re going out, plan higher-protein meals before and after. Don’t turn one night into a 3-day binge.

• Keep one normal day
Either Saturday or Sunday stays structured. This alone stops the spiral.

• Stock your environment
Have food ready at home so convenience doesn’t win when willpower’s low.

• Set a Sunday reset
20-30 minutes walking minimum. Food shop, meals planned, gym bag packed. Momentum beats motivation every time.

• Drop the “all or nothing” mindset
You don’t need perfect. You need controlled.

Punishment keeps you stuck.
Planning keeps you powerful.
